When people say "I want " I've been fond of replying "It's good to want things." I can't say my girlfriends thought it was as clever as I did. Going through some old papers, I happened upon a stack saved only because I'd written quotes on the reverse. I found the following

God bless you for remembering his actual name! I was telling some high school story the other day and I could not for the life of me remember his REAL name. Since I can list off every other teacher I had since grade school (ok minus some less than impressive ones in middle school), I felt bad that I had managed to completely erase this man's real name.

I have often thought Captain Diggity would make a great comic. Stodgy, boring calculus teacher who converts to Captain Diggity to save the world using math! Actually, it sounds more like a "Learning is fun" miniseries.
