Wellspring 08 - Better Than A Flaming Penis

Wellspring was a blast! For one thing, we had more participants than ever in the Artisan's Guild Competition- & the work was exceptional! The Artisan's Reception also went very, very well! Lots of people came up & viewed the work on display. One of my Grovies, who happens to be an excellent photographer, kindly took photos of all of the pieces.

Better Than A Flaming Penis

that's just not something one reads every day...

Nor hears every day, hence me using it for a title. It was something my grovie P2 mentioned when he & Grey & I got into a discussion of Rite of Passage rituals for boys becoming men. He'd read something about a tribe that cuts a slit in the guy's penis & pours salt on it then makehs him go & fight. HE told Grey that a broken collarbone was better than a flaming penis, which Grey heartily agreed with.

I have plans to possibly enter something next year in the competion. We'll see how that goes.
