Dilemmas on Iron Man 2 and other sequels.

I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to go see Iron Man 2 this summer or not. It looks like a big, fun, action packed movie that has very little plot and lots of explosions, and douchey superheroes. So basically, my kind of movie.

But I'm really, really bothered by the producers replacing Terrance Howard with Don Cheadle. I mean, I've heard ( Read more... )

James Bond? Or is there an in-film explanation? I could be wrong.

I can't think of any instances in film other than James Bond, but recasts happen all the time on television. Recently, a main character on General Hospital, who happens to be a white male, was recast with another leading white male. And while, yes, that is daytime, it's also the entertainment industry. These things don't happen often because the people behind the scenes work like hell to avoid it, but it does happen.
