You have no idea how amused I am by the title "The Monster at the End of this Book." I never had that book, but it was at the pediatrician's office, and I made Mom read it to me EVERY TIME we went there. =)

The episode is an awesome Meta episode of Supernatural. The main characters find out that someone is writing their lives as a book series.

Kind of like Stranger than Fiction?

Not exactly, no. The writer is actually a prophet of Heaven. He sees what's happening whereas Stranger than Fiction, it's more like the writer is causing what happens. Chuck (Prophet/Writer) is being given visions by Heaven of what is currently happening or about to happen to the Winchesters.
