Holy icons, batman!

May 01, 2007 01:33

Alright, I got antsy last night and, instead of studying censorship and abortion laws like a good little student, I made icons. MST3K icons. Shitty MST3K icons. And seeing as I'm not in any MST3K communities, I'll probably be posting them here solely. FEEL PRIVELEDGED!

Oh baby Rowsdower saves us, and saves all the world! )

attempts at humor, icons, fandom: mst3k, marriage?!?!

Muahahaha..at icons and then picture of squirrels! Squirrels don't negotiate! Is it sad that I could prolly type "Down in the basement" entirely without having seen it in a couple of moths? The only thing that gets away from me is the names Stephen calls Paul 'cause they keep changing..anyway.
Mormons! I kinda love them..is my dirrrty little secret..that I love them..'cause here they were those uniforms and speak in broken spanish or I talk to them in english and it's all good until, "Have you accepted Jesus as your personal savior?" And, well..I haven't. I'm kinda scared of Jesus rigth now *cough*he'saZOMBIE*cough* Argh..young people weddings make me reaaally uncomfortable. Why did the kill the CAREBEARS?! WHY?!!
Do I want to know what chiggers are? I don't right..just, let me be happy in my ignorance. It shields me.
Also, I'm writing a lot cause I donno..so sorry.

See, I know Mormons as my friends from High school that suddenly have lost contact with everyone due to either getting married or going on their mission. But I do get super-excited whenever I see a missionary. I literally yell, "MORMON SIGHTING!" and stare in an unseemly manner. I also know a lot about the religion... like the Jews coming to America 4,000 years ago and the angel Meroni giving the book of Mormon to a 14-year-old and how when you die you get your own planet.... Ahem. Things of that nature.

Yeah, my friend is 19 and it's hard not to just shake her and go, "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? DO YOU WANT ME TO HAVE AN ANEURISM??? DO YOU??????" Plus she's only known the guy for less than 7 months. Gah.

Chiggers are these little bugs that are sort of like, um... fleas? I guess? But they go away. Anyway, you only get them if you walk through fields or wooded areas. The like to go wherever your clothes are tightest against your body.

And I'm writing a lot in response. Ain't it grand?

Want to have an aneurysm? My friend got married when she was, get this..17 and, here's the cherry on top, she was pregnant at the time having like 5 months of ehm, carrying the child and only 5 and 1/2 months of meeting the dude. And the dude was 26. And I hate him, a lot.
I know a lot about religion too! Like, if you yell at nuns they chase after you but some are really nice and one gave me candy once! And that lutherans are funny and welcome everyone into the church and they want my soul, and that id I smoke the magical herb one more time this month I'm gonna be sick..rigth, that stuff.
I didn't wanted to know..for a reason. Now that knowledge will haunt me!

Hey...I'm bored and you are awake so..entertain me! *claps hands in a demanding fashion and of course, gets shit beaten out of her* Sorry for that.

Haha, sorry, I pretty much passed out after responding to the last comment.

And she was 17? Wow. That's insane. And sucks. I mean, my grandma got married when she was 18, but that was in the 50's and in Missouri. So... a bit of a different story.

Haha, I love nuns. I was in Rome for a while and they're everywhere. Monks too. Ah, Catholicism. And Lutherans are in my blood... sweet, sweet German ancestry.

Now you know all about chiggers! Be glad. Now if you ever go to the American South of mid-west, you'll be prepared.

"If it weren't for that horse I wouldn't have gone to college!
Did she ride the horse to college? Now, she didn't ride the horse to college, Did she sell the horse? Now she didn't sell the horse (..)"

That..is one of those lines that makes everything, in perspective, okay..or slightly not okay..whatever, Humor makes it be fine..

I don't know Lewis Black's quote! Unforunately, I've never seen any of his stand-up. Yeah, I'm lame. I plan on buying the DVD as soon as I have money. And... uh... remember.

I love the South too, but moving here was probably not so good an idea for me. Because I'm all judgey and hateful and get mad when crazy preachers come on campus and tell me I'm a whore for wearing something that shows my ankles and that John Lennon was the devil.

*sigh* Stupid Bible belt.

Down in the Basement does indeed do that.

I'm from Buffalo, so me + the South = planets blow up. XD

Your icon wins at life. Also, awkward heathen you? Do you mean it to say you're not Mormon, or that you belong to one of those lovely religious groups that people tend to qualify as "satanic" even though pagans! don't! fucking! believe! in! satan! *huffpuff* sorry. XD

Yeah, I actually have a friend who is getting married next spring. The confusing part? SHE WAS SO GAY LAST YEAR. AND NOW SHE'S ENGAGED. TO A MAN. WHAT THE FUCK? I'm so confused. XD

Haha, I'm from the sort-of-north too, so me being down here is kind of painful. And becuase I'm a liberal-esque type who gets annoyed when guys with huge banners declaring the world is ending and Jesus is coming are on campus.

Yes, this icon does win at life. If only I knew who made it...

I'm not really heathen. I meant more that I'm not Mormon... and the fact that I'm a weird sort of Buddhist-y/Christian/Agnostic deal that doesn't fly with most Christians. And don't worry, though I may be quasi-Christian, I do actually have half a brain and realize pagans don't equal satanists.

Oh nooooo. She's ungayed herself just to get married? Why?? That sounds like such a repression-type deal. That blows.

Yeah I don't really do heathenism, because a lot of them are neo-Nazis, and that's enough to deter me from pretty much anything. I'm an eclectic. I take bits and pieces from everything and mash them together into a form of paganism I like. Some Buddhist teachings are cool, but the bits about wanting to break out of the reincarnation cycle kind of go against the pagan appreciate-the-cycle-of-life-and-death bit... I've all but rejected Christianity on the basis that I don't believe in sin, and that the only thing worth being punished (karmic punishment, that is) for is wrongdoing to others. However, I have many Christian friends and it works for them and I appreciate that. I like discussing religion. It's interesting. I think there are good things about every religion out there, and that most people don't really go outside the bounds of what they were raised with. I was raised nothing, so I kind of got an objective view of religion, which I like. Mormons don't really like me because I swear like a truck driver ( ... )

Yeah, the whole Satan/Neo-Nazi weirdness doesn't fly so much with me. I'm kind of frightened by them... understandably so, I would wager.

See, I was raised like... SUPER-Christian, but both my parents are also super-liberal. We're an odd family. So basically I was raised with all the good bits of Christianity but now, with my sect of Christianity going through this... fundamentalization (did I just make that up? Go me) process, I've basically fallen away from the church, earning me heathan status! That and I believe in the Karma cycles of traditional Buddhism but since they don't believe in a soul, I have the Christian concept of the soul. Does that make sense? Uh... maybe.

To be honest, it used to be my dream to become a minister. Weird, no? But a cool minister. Like a really liberal, open-minded minister. But then I realized no one will want me, so I dropped that little pipe dream ( ... )

Your icons make me incredibly happy and make me forget my dispair at the prospect of all my exams. You must make more. MORE!!!

Yeah, exams are murdering me and I haven't even taken any yet. It's so hard to be motivated when you really just don't care at all.

When are you done? I go home Saturday so hopefully not all that soon after that? We need to get together. Have an Apples to Apples night or something. I need contact with cool people again!

I haven't taken my exams yet either. I still have another 2 weeks before they start but they are giving me bad dreams already.

I get home on May 23rd. Boooo. But I have about 10 days before I leave for Australia.
