Thank you. Jesse's death was a scene I had in my mind even before I started this fic and finally putting it on paper was a bit of an undertaking. Thanks for your support. ♥ Em

It's so good to read more of this story. OMG, looks like Ennis is finally starting to move beyond his fear of the world knowing about him. It also looks like Nick is going to be able to start to move on from the war which is great. Poor Jack though, it's horrible to feel so lonely and sad every day.

It is terrible for Jack, mostly because he doesn't have new people around him and new surroundings. Just the same old. Which isn't too bad, considering he has sweet Bobby. As for Ennis getting over his fears, it was very much one stop forward two steps back, but looks like he's finally getting it. Thanks for a great comment. xx

You know, it really pisses me off that these poor boys, and they really were nothing more than boys, were brave enough to fight for our freedom in a land where even the very air was foreign to them, and they had to come home and face even more demons. Add to that Nick's having to hide his true self from the world and it's no wonder the man isn't going postal 24/7 and attacking shadows he probably sees lurking in every corner. *sigh* I think I almost might love Nick a little bit more than Ennis in this chapter. Imagine that ( ... )

Hey Carmen:
Yes, the central premise to this story is how much Ennis and Jack learn from opening their eyes and learning lessons from the world around them. Thank you for your comment. xx Em
