Nabooru (It's almost like an example post.) ofasandgoddess October 14 2011, 09:25:50 UTC
It was all to give her one last piece of mind before she started in a direction that made her heart grow heavy. She sat at the counter, a glass two-thirds full, and with her free hand, she tapped nonchalantly. Any time now.

Any.
Time.
Now.

Like... now, perhaps?

"So," Goose spoke from behind her suddenly, hands shoved into his pockets. "A little birdy told me a little party's going on here."

Social drinking constituted well enough as a 'party' in his book. Trust me. Just imagine what has happened the other times Goose went drinking. They were very, very rowdy.

She was mid-drink of a glass filled with much yellow when Goose popped up behind her. Her eyebrows lifted and she turned in her stool glass in hand, which quickly dropped to half empty (or half full, depending on how you viewed it).

"Oh, there you are. Heeeey." She gave him a rather large grin. "Well, I thought it'd be nice to get some people together. Everyone has a good time once they've had a few drinks in them. You should help yourself."

That is a philosophy about life that Goose closely believed in, yes. He waved over the barkeep as he responded with, "Could be hectic. Remember who we've got here, heh. Of course..."

He halted in his speech to her to whisper over to the bartender, "By the way, a Stiletto," before continuing. "That just means," he begins as he sits down on a stool near her, curled hands placed firmly on the counter. "It could get a hell of a lot more fun."

This guy is just chilling at some point during the night, a Death by Chocolate, tall and sweet, in his hand. Goose never stood out from a drinking outing. Never. He has enough business at the academy as it is, so a night of fun always felt nice to take the mind away from that.

Care to approach?

Oh hey, it was Goose. Wario knew Goose.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't bird-brain. How're you doing?" Wario had his stupid nickname for Goose, but in actuality, this was probably the nicest he'd been to anyone.

Goose didn't mind. Wario should see how people are at his flight club. Way rowdier than just calling people bird-brain and, oh, knocking their sandcastles down.

"Bird-brain, eh? Now I need to think of a name for the throat that could handle... I dunno, maybe a hundred dicks."

Ooh. Ooooooooh. He went there.

"Anyway, I'm doing just fine. How's about you?"

What. That was just. That was disgusting. Why would Goose say such a horrible thing like that.

"That's disgusting, you freak!" Wario made a very repulsed face and then took an unorthodox gulp of his Millionairess.

"Bleh. Well. I'm fine. Happy to get a free drink!" He didn't mention that Nabooru was not fond of him, though.

Jon had showed up without a word to anyone and was currently nose-deep in a tall glass of Guinness. The beer of Kings and Werewolves alike.

He wasn't much of one for parties nor did he intend to spend much time socializing. A few pints downed and he'd be on his way. But it would have been outright rude to refuse the invitation completely.

Hi Jon, you know you can't hide from Krystal.

She was more here for socializing purposes than actual alcohol, and she decides to bug him first. It waaaas some time since she saw him and spoke, and since knowing of their little connection; well, she was going to go and talk with him or something. Taking a seat right beside him, she just sort of gave a small to him.

"Hello."

"Oh. Hello. Wasn't expecting to see you here."

He turned in his stool a little to look at her. Still as foxy as ever. He hadn't sought her out after their meeting not long after his first arrival and he had to wonder why not.

"Oi. Barkeep. Another Guiness and whatever the Lady is having, alright?"

Getting comfortable, Krystal gave her order to the bartender. "Pomegranate Ice, please!"

Then turned her attention to Jon. "I wanted to get out a bit more, I haven't been socializing nearly as much as I wished." Which was... sadly true. "So... How've you been?"

"ALRIIIIGHT!"

Knuckles was more than ready to kick off the weekend RIGHT. He was here to eat, drink and be merry. Maybe not so much the eat part. The rest? Certainly.

Currently he was chilling on a bar stool, looking out over the crowd, stein of whatever was cheap and on tap in his hand. It was going to be a great evening!

Jake showed up next to him. Again. How was he doing that seriously. And he held up his own stein for a toast.

"Cheers to everything!" Knuckles replied to his pal's silent arrival and raised glass. He clanked his own tankard against Jake's before downing a good third of it and smacking his lips.

"How you been, pal?"

Mei Ling, in all her curiosity decided that the best way to do this was to be adventurous. So she asked for some of the most experimental cocktails he could make to be lined up in front of her at the bar. Hey, he said he was a maestro. They were all different colours and in different glasses. And obviously she couldn't finish them on her own.

Otacon didn't feel like he really belonged here, not to mention had a strange deja-vu feeling. Like he'd been here before. But he knew he hadn't...had he?

He sat close to Mei Ling, wondering what he should say, opening his mouth once or twice before blurting out something.

"U-uh what do you think of the message we were sent?"

Good try Otacon. Good try.

"Hm?"

Mei Ling turned around on the swivel chair to look at Otacon properly.

"Well, we might as well take advantage of it."

She chooses one of the cocktails that the bartender had just set on fire and holds it out to him.

"Try?"

He gives her a half look, before setting his sights on the flaming drink and takes it.

"Should I blow on it to take out the flame?" he asks, obviously not a man who gets drunk very often.
