Marie wasn't really looking forward to his date. He'd been feeling pretty down lately- about a lot of things- and was really missing Spinny. But he dragged himself to the restaurant anyway. Walking in, he felt a little out of place. Not underdressed- he actually wore a nice shirt and a tie- but just like he didn't belong there.

When he realized his date hadn't arrived yet, he awkwardly hovered around his table instead of sitting down. He thought about leaving.

Another blind date, another chump to mess around with!

For Doopliss, the last blind date he went on was a complete success! For him. Turning into some hot chick and pretending to be all nice-y nice only to completely fool Pit was a blast! It was always easier to prank someone that he at least had an idea on who he or she was.

This time, however, he had no idea who this guy was. So, if he were to transform into someone right now, he'd have no idea if it'd be a good or a bad thing for his blind date. Might as well hold off on turning into somebody else. For now.

He hovered over right next to Marie. "So are you thinkin' about sitting down or do you just want to do this whole thing standing, slick?"

Not expecting someone to be hovering right next to him, Marie jumped a little when Doopliss spoke. Wh-who was he calling slick? Marie scowled at the little ghost and replied, "Yeah, I was just waiting for... whoever. To show up."

He nervously pulled his chair out and sat down. And he didn't say anything else to Doopliss after that.

Ah, Erika remembered this establishment fairly well. It was an enjoyable time last time, so she hoped that being included again in this scenario would go just as well this time and not end up horribly awkward.

She wore a slightly nicer kimono this evening to fit the restaurant, but it wasn't anything terribly fancy in Erika's eyes. Dressed to impress, but not to impress too much. This was just going to be a pleasant evening of conversation for the gym leader and really nothing more than that. She was quite curious about who she would end up with for the evening, and wore a small smile as she waited to see.

Hopefully they'd appear before she dozed off or something.

Surge had never been on one of these blind dates before. He considered himself lucky when he heard of the poor saps who got roped into the event the last few times. Sadly, it seemed his luck had run out.

Or maybe not. Approaching the table, he was pleased to see that his companion for the evening was a familiar face.

"Fancy seeing you here," the lieutenant grinned.

Well, well, this was a pleasant enough surprise. Erika politely bowed her head in the lieutenant's direction, offering him a small smile of his very own.

"This is quite the surprise," she greeted softly. "Not even the happily wed were spared, I see."

Welp.

Brock was still nervous, though he felt a little better than he did last time. These weren't really dates, so there was no reason to feel guilty about being there. Besides, it wasn't like he'd signed himself up, so it wasn't his fault. Maybe he'd end up with a friend, or someone with which to have a good conversation.

Then again, maybe that was too much to hope for.

At any rate, he arrived on time and sat at his table, wringing his hands and scanning the menu while he waited for his company.

Shinon, please enjoy Brock's deer-in-the-headlight's face.

The gym leader stared wide-eyed at his "date", wondering if there had been some mistake. But no, it was never a mistake. Last time he'd ended up with Miller, of all people.

"I think so too. Um. Sorry."

This whole thing was stupid. That was exactly what Caim would have said if someone had asked him. Oh, and if he could speak. He didn't even know why he was here. Right. Because he'd received a message that said he didn't exactly have a choice.

Wonderful.

In spite of it being such a nice place, it was still highly irritating. He could have been doing five other practical things. Stalking the greenhouse. Teaching Ai to swim (which he later realised he'd have to take off his clothes for). Grading Goose's papers. Bothering Vianca wherever she was. Sulking around the city and the campus halls.

Yes. Those were all better than this. He'd glanced at his menu, but he wasn't hungry. He didn't even really know what the money was for aside from currency, but he figured he could use it to buy some different clothes and give Riley back his.

So as he waited, because he assumed he'd be told when he could leave, he decided to sketch.

EVA was always a fan of the blind dates the school put on. Last year, she'd had a nice, informative date with Dr. Emmerich. She just hoped she wouldn't be saddled with Raikov this time around. Or anyone equally stomach-turning, really.

She wore one of her billion little black dresses and she held a sparkly clutch bag with her and the slip of paper that her table number was on. She didn't recognize her date, but that didn't bother her. She pulled her chair out and sat down, glancing at whatever he happened to be drawing.

"Evening."

Oh. Oh.

He actually had a date. He was not so lucky to be put by himself. When EVA addressed him, his chin lifted and he simply stared. First impressions said a lot about someone. The first thing he noticed was that she was dressed nicely. He was too, but that was more thanks to Riley than anything else. All the same, she was...

A little intimidating, honestly. For a woman.

He closed his sketchpad, which was beginning to be filled up with more of the academy's inhabitants than anything else and he nodded before he gestured to the chair ahead of him.

(No, he wasn't nice enough to pull out the chair for her. Mostly because he had the sinking suspicion that she could beat him down with her clutch purse.)

He did, however, withdraw a small notebook and wrote. "Good evening."

At least he had manners.

Oh great. It was the exact same restaurant as last time. Giratina sat down heavily in his chair. He had already tried to leave, and the butlers had started to freak out at him. Maybe this time he wouldn't get some girly magician.

He crossed his arms as he looked around, wondering if there were only a few good restaurants in Final Destination City, and that was why he had found himself at this place twice already. At least he knew what was going to be on the menu this time.

No... not a girly magician...

But how about a girly thief? Does that suit your fancy? No? Well, he's married, so that's okay, and that's what he's about to tell you straight-up that he can't be here and--

Whoa. Who is that? Ron's jaw dropped: this guy looked really, really cool, like all mysterious and aloof. He stepped over, wringing his hands nervously while pinching his table card between two gloved fingers.

"H-Hello..."

...Oh. Well then, there was his date. In Giratina's opinion, it was a good thing his expectations were low, because it was some... nervous guy... in strange clothes.

Giratina leaned back in his chair to look back at the other man. "So I'm stuck with you, then?"

Sorry, Ron. Your date's kind of a jerk.
