"It is. It's popular back home. It's spicy, many kinds are also sweet. Generally a lot of meat and you can have it served with chips which is a favorite of mine. I also like the bread it comes with, Naan."

He ran his free hand through his hair, nose twitching ever so slightly.

"...and luckily enough, this particular place also does a good lager, from the smell of it. I can almost smell how cold it is."

Was his mouth watering? Just a little bit.

Riwane's expression was of sheer delight at the description! Even more was the fact that he was noticeably savoring it, which made her smile and soon, as they got closer, she could savor it as well!

"Oh gosh, it sounds delightful! Ah can't wait then~ Jus' lead tha way and let us have sum eats!"

The gal knew where her passion was when it came for food, and he mentioned quite a few of them. Lots of meat? Check. Spicy? Check. Sweet coupled with heat? Trrrriple check and call her sold!

"Table for two. Booth, if at all possible." Jon told the greeter as they walked through the door. Despite the place smelling and looking nice, it didn't appear to be crowded and so they were seated right away and given menus. He was pleasantly surprised how secluded the booth was, well away from the kitchens, restrooms and the other patrons.

Jon knew what he wanted pretty quickly from the menu, but he'd wait to order until she'd decided. There were a lot of familiar sounding dishes to him, though, he figured he might need to do some explaining to her.

"I'll take a pint. Lager. As cold as you can get it, mate." he added to the waiter, who replied "And the lady?" looking at Riwane.

They could have gone to a fast food place and the poor girl wouldn't have been the wiser! But the extra addition to attention sure had her smiling wide! It made her remember some of the movies where the fancy people would meet in restaurants and order things like 'escargo' or 'pignion something or the other'. She didn't know what they were, but they sure sounded as if they knew what they were talking about, so it must be good ( ... )

The waiter wrote down the order for drinks and left them for the moment.

"Right, you want to pay attention to the little red dots next to the name of the dish." Jon replied, turning his own menu to point them out to her. "One dot through five, five being the spiciest, one being very mild. The spicier you like something, the more dots you'll be wanting. The other thing to pay attention to is the type of meat. So, for example, this beef vindaloo sits at a four on the spiciness and it's made of cow. Not quite my cup of tea."

He folded the page over. "I like mine on the milder side, so, I'll take this one. A lamb korma - it's a sweeter, less spicy curry and I love lamb."

He looked over the menu again. "They also have the option of rice and either chips or naan bread. Of course, they call them fries here. Blasphemy."
