[Mei Ling, for the life of her couldn't find a particular book she wanted online. Beside, it was probably easier to look for the paper version in the library. So there she goes walking up to the librarian's counter.]
[EVA had been in another part of the library when her librarian senses began to tingle. Alright, so she heard Mei Ling's voice echoing from the first floor. She made her way back to the front desk.]
[And that reigns in her attention. She focuses on the woman's face for a second or two, wondering what she could possibly need that book for. But she just smiles and nods at Mei Ling.]
Non-fiction is on the second floor. If you'd like me to show you precisely where the historic non-fiction is, I can.
[She stands, ready to guide the other woman. EVA damn near has the exact location of that book in the library memorized...]

[The best thing about being a security guard: being able to slip into places when he shouldn't and using the excuse of 'protection of the area'.
Planting his ass on the librarian's desk probably isn't a good way to do it, though. Oops. Don't mind the man named after a mallard just chilling where he shouldn't, EVA.]
[Honestly, finding the library's front doors unlocked before she arrived was actually pretty startling. With Raikov being back, EVA was on high alert again.
But it was just Goose. And so EVA was pretty annoyed.]

Nephenee had been learning to read since she moved here, but so far she was only at maybe on a third grader's level, or so Goose said. This was unacceptable, she had decided (after she had found out what a third grader was), so she marched down to the library one day after class, grabbed a few books from each section, and sat herself down at a table, settling down for a few hours of reading... ... ... Oh crap, she got lost already. What in Yune's name was a...H-O-B-B-I-T? And why was she...con...cerning herself with them? After a few words, he looked up, frantically searching for someone to help.
EVA just so happened to be in the area- reshelving a small stack of classic fiction novels- when Nephenee had settled down with her books. The librarian couldn't help but glance over at her as she opened the first page of her book.
Nephenee looked over to her, and nodded frantically, eye wide with confusion. "Y-yeah. I...I can't read that well, and I don't understand this here book." She held up the book for EVA to see.
For a beginner, Nephenee had picked quite the book. EVA walked over, making herself comfortable on the arm of the chair Neph was settled into. She looked over the cover of the book and wondered what would be the best way to phrase what she wanted to say...
"If you're new to reading, maybe you should start with something a little easier than The Lord of the Rings," she replied, maintaining her helpful smile.

Cyrus had been there for most of the week, burying himself in books of the world. But this time was different. Rather than going to the reference or science books, he headed for the science fiction section, taking a book called "The World Set Free" off the shelf, holding it as if it was an ancient artifact for a moment before heading off with it towards the seating area.
There were two girls who frequented the library that always put a smile on the librarian's face. One of them was petite, pale, and had a flower bud braided neatly into her hair. The other was taller, blonder, and standing right in front of her that afternoon.
"Afternoon, EVA," Peach responded with a smile of her own. She came to both chat and do business. She'll do business in just one second. "You seem well this afternoon, are you fairing okay?"
"I'm doing fine, thanks. Yourself?" EVA grabbed the first book from the stack, examining the cover. "And these are for return, right?" she asked, setting it down on her side of the desk and scooting back to rifle through her cabinet of files.

How'd you get in here before I did?

[He shrugged and reclined, using a nearby stack of books on the desk as a pillow.]
I was checking everything out. Makin' sure there's no intruders. Kinda my job.
