Giovanni nodded as he was helped up, "Thank you." He also remembered one of the reason he recalled the man, but that was neither here nor there for the time being. Resting his hand against his lips for a moment, he considered Archer's words. "How so? And you refer to the radio broadcast, do you not?"

"You're quite welcome." Archer replied simply. Despite the fact that it had been over three years ago, Archer was certain the boss hadn't changed in the slightest. He still managed to make Archer anxious while in his general proximity, at the very least. The Executive didn't stop the look of surprise when Giovanni mentioned the radio broadcast. "You heard it, then?" He had so hoped that would be the case, but by the time the Pokemon trainer Lyra barged in... well, Archer was certain there was no chance of Giovanni hearing of Team Rocket's return. "While in Johto we also experimented with the effects of radio waves on Pokemon and evolution - it branched from the experiments you assigned me to oversee on Five Island, sir." Archer did look rather pleased with himself, but it was only natural. Those experiments had been ever so slightly altered by his own hands after all. Granted, the scientists deserved most of the credit - but without Archer nudging them in that direction, the events at the Lake of Rage would never have occured. "I'm ( ... )

He had heard the broadcast alright, but thanks to a time-traveling Celebi, he'd been defeated at roughly the same time as Archer by the exact same child. Not that either of them knew it.
And unfortunately, he had changed a bit. But was it enough to not be swayed by something such as this event...

Giovanni looked around, obsidian eyes glancing about behind the black frames, then motioned Archer to come into the classroom with him. Closing the door behind them, he lit a cigarette and took a drag on it; leaning against the desk, he replied, "Given I have heard little of things, I can only assume something happened to stop the broadcast. I'm assuming it wasn't just to contact me."

He obediently followed the boss back into the classroom. Archer glanced around, taking in the surroundings. The Gym in Viridian City had been Giovanni's - and like that Gym, this showed no signs of belonging to the mastermind behind Team Rocket. Archer returned his attention to the boss as the door shut though. His hands locked in front of him as the boss lit a cigarette. "You're correct." Archer nodded at Giovanni's words. "Unfortunately a Pokemon trainer stood in our way several times. She ultimately managed to defeat the Grunts stationed within Goldenrod's Radio Tower, as well as all of the Executives, myself included." He didn't look overly pissed about that though - Lyra was a good trainer. He had figured he would lose anyway; Archer wasn't exactly an expert trainer. Still, the defeat stung. "We did capture the Radio Tower in an attempt to contact you, boss, but we had other plans as well ( ... )

No, the Geology classroom looked nothing like a Mafia Boss' room at all. There were maps and pictures on the walls of various geological formations, a cutaway picture of the earth in its layers, each labeled with various facts underneath, and on the desk sat a lamp, standard desk supplies, and a display box of different rocks and minerals. The whole room had a warm atmosphere to it, more conductive to learning than some stark lab, in his mind. Nothing here suggested the man teaching the class had been anything but a fine, upstanding citizen all his life ( ... )
