"Good morning, Ocelot," he greeted, dropping the stack on the desk. "Looks like I found some more for you!" The scholar sounded less than confident about his choice of words. "So... so that leaves 7 more, right?"

Apparently, Ocelot too remembered what he did.
Good. Very good. Volgin was intending to make good on his promise to make the Major regret.
A source told the giant where to find the boy. Volgin was careful to keep away from Ocelot's notice (somehow), biding his time near the library until it was closing time. When most everyone was away was when he could confront Ocelot himself with the least interruptions possible.
(And not at their apartment. Volgin could only charm his way off the couch so many times.)

Maybe if he was really careful he could just play dumb and YEAH HE WAS JUST GOING TO TAKE HIS MISPLACED BOOK CART ELSEWHERE. AS QUIETLY AS POSSIBLE. AND HOPE THAT VOLGIN WON'T REALIZE HE HAS SEEN HIM.

Volgin knew this scene all too well. Beautifully well. It was not like the inferiors have tried this before, especially the scientists trying to escape a ... motivation session from either Raikov or him. A shame for Ocelot, when Volgin very much had his sights set on the man, and the giant had yet to forget what the Major's backside looked like.
"Major." In Russian. "I suppose you could spare a moment for your old commanding officer."
No, that was not really a choice being offered.

"A cooking class...?" Huh, when did they do that? It must have been pretty recently given that he hadn't heard anything about it.

Of course, she was always the exploratory sort, so despite her slight dislike for reading, she decided to check out the library anyway. In Pikachu form. Her electric Pokemon form. While she's excited oh geez she bolts in with those sparks FLYING.
Have fun with that, Ocelot.

ELECTRICITY
FUCK
FUCKIN'... SHIT. HE WAS DEADER THAN DEAD. He was behind the counter, and as soon as he heard SPARKS FLYING he began trying to slooowly sidle his way out. He kind of looked like he was getting ready to be hit by a truck.

Amp ran for him. She was totally gonna find out what was up.
"Pika pika pi!"

And waited.
...And waited some more.
And then he looked down and saw a little rat. WHA... VOLGIN... That was not Volgin. "... What are you?"
