"Mmmmhmmmm," he hummed, but his attention seemed to have been stolen. To his side, a shelf beckoned him with sweet promises of learning, so sweet he couldn't resist.

As Ocelot checked the books back in, Canas was drawn toward a book that seemed oddly misplaced in the children's section. Astronomy. That was not a children's book. "Ocelot your library helpers suck, let me do it for you"

What a find! Space? Canas hardly knew a thing about space!

FINE YOU CAN HELP BUT YOU'RE NOT GETTING PAID. Well they don't call it the final frontier for nothing. Once he finished making sure the books were indeed the library's, he looked over to see Canas gawking at one of the shelves. "... What are you doing?"

By now, he was eagerly removing the book from its snug place in the shelf. He turned, bewildered at the sudden inquisition.

"O-Oh! I'm just..." the scholar trailed off, looking from Ocelot to the book, and back again. "Just... looking at this book, of course." Astronomy... oh, love.

Uh Canas that's gross what are you gonna do marry it

"I can put it on hold, but you're not checking anything out 'till I get those books back." Yes delicious crushed dreams.

Canas looked crushed, indeed. "Oh... that's alright. I'm sure I'll find it again." He didn't even bother to fake a smile. "I guess... I'd better find those books, huh?" As he came to this realization, he slowly shelved the book.
