Brendan barely did anything while he was at the town before. He mostly stayed out in the fields to collect data, and that one time he ran into May, they had a friendly Pokémon battle. He completely forgot that there was a contest hall in the town! He was glad the place had the familiar scent Hoenn had, and it felt like he was back home, in a way.

When he heard Voile's voice in his head he looked over to the other to reply with a smile. "Anywhere you'd like! I think I should save my shopping for last, so we won't have to lug around extra bags."

Leafy 'fingers' tapped upon her lips thoughtfully. Where to go. What could they go see? What would entertain him? What would be amusing? What would be practical and appropriate? If they really wanted to, they could always take a cruise on the S.S. Tidal, too. The more she thought about it, the more she figured it'd probably be necessary eventually.

"Well, they have the museum. It has a lot of really pretty art. Paintings and things like that, if those are your thing. And of course, there's the contest hall, too." She tipped her head forward at him, "Pick one. Whichever one we don't do first, we'll do afterward. We can go look at the harbour, also. The sound of the water is calming sometimes."

Unfortunately, Brendan wasn't too into paintings, especially those with weird shapes and colors that looked like paint was just thrown onto the canvas. In this sense, it wasn't surprising that Brendan didn't know the city had a museum. Brendan thought for a moment, at first unsure which to pick.

"...Maybe the contest hall? If that's okay with you. I'd like to see how the bigger contests are held!"

Brendan had barely entered once before, and that was a really small one. It was his first time being at a huge contest hall, and he was certainly excited and curious to see how different it would be...!

Somehow she'd expected it. The flutters in the bottom of her stomach grew, but she was careful not to let him see it. After all, if he did, he'd ask and Voile was not very good at discussing her personal feelings just yet. She'd need just a little more time before she could do that. One day, though, it probably wouldn't be so hard to talk about herself.

She smiled and nodded to him, "Come on, then. I'm sure there are lots of people there. Contest hall and all. Everyone all over Hoenn comes here, I heard. I've spent a good share of my life there too." Voile squeezed his arm gently, more for her reassurance than anything else and without another thought, she began to direct him toward the contest hall.

No one could miss it, after all. It was the largest building in the city.

Voile sure did hide her feelings good...or perhaps Brendan was too preoccupied with the contest hall they were entering; he didn't take note of the squeeze at his arm. Instead, he was looking around the scene, getting into his hype that usually comes when he's doing research and grooming his Pokémon.

"Oh man! I figured the contest hall would be really big, but I didn't expect it to be this huge!" He exclaimed. And then he realized they probably should sit down somewhere if they were going to watch the contest.

"We should sit over here!" He said as he pointed towards two empty seats. Man, this place was packed!
