Friday the 18th, assumedly some time after Peach left. sonic2point0 June 17 2010, 04:47:43 UTC
Metal was acclimating himself to his new environment still. He didn't spend much time outside the Eggblimp, and the school had a lot of things to offer, the city more so.

He found himself coming across a woman who caused his database to ping. 'Zelda, Princess. Hyrule.' This wasn't relevant to him, Hyrule was a place he'd never even heard of outside of his own databanks. But, she was alone, and having a friend in royalty was always nice.

He waited until after she had let off another arrow. "Hello." He said simply, approaching from behind her.

In being away for such a long time, Zelda had missed an influx of new students, among them Sonic's robotic doppleganger. Though in her time at Smash Academy she'd become accustomed to most technologies, there were still a few things that surprised her.

Robot hedgehogs being one of them.

Still, she wasn't about to be unfriendly. "Hello." She replied with a smile. "I don't believe we've met."

He stepped closer and offered a hand of greeting. "No, we have not. I am Metal Sonic, a new student here. And you are?"

It is always best to keep the upper hand.

A polite robot at that. Zelda took his hand, of course, and shook it. "A pleasure to meet you. My name is Zelda."

Marth had little to no ability with a bow and an arrow. A sword was where his strengths lied at. It did not mean, however, that he did not take joy in watching others. It was when he paused by the archery range that he caught sight of the elven blonde. Ah, yes. She'd returned home finally, hadn't she?

Marth had missed her, strangely enough, and he'd felt much weight lift from his shoulders after receiving Midna's letter. He couldn't think of a better time to welcome Zelda and he couldn't imagine when he'd be in a better mood. Perhaps she wouldn't desire to be interrupted, however. Some women, like Minerva, could be frightening when they were pulled from their outside plans. Somehow, Marth didn't seem to think Zelda was like that.

He chose to watch her for a few moments with a fond smile upon his face and he chose to speak up the next he saw her pull back an arrow. "Miss Zelda, you certainly have a grace about you."

Marth was one of the people at the school that she desperately wished to know better, and yet somehow hadn't managed to find time to do so. It was certainly a regret of hers, but she certainly hoped to fix this in the very near future.

It seemed like today was the day, and Zelda couldn't help but return the smile when she heard the voice that let her know the blue-haired prince had decided to join her. She wasn't sure if he had a penchant for archery, but perhaps today she'd find out.

"You flatter me, Prince Marth." She said, letting the arrow fly and then turning to face him. "I trust everything has been well in my absence?"

Yes, perhaps he did flatter. He never would have called it that because he liked to believe that he spoke with the utmost of sincerity. How people chose to interpret it was something he had no control over. Well... Minimal control over, at any rate.

He tipped his head at her kindly, watched her a few moments longer, and the moment she turned, he crossed an arm over his chest and bowed, carefully straightening his cloak when he rose. "I have not seen anything of ill in your departure. It's simply nice to see you again."

He paused and fingered his chin lightly, "I hope it is not forward of me to say that I missed you."

"Of course not." In fact, the sentiment was more than welcome. Truthfully, Zelda had missed Marth as well. His warm smile, his politeness, everything about him that exuded dignity and charm--a true prince indeed.

"In fact, I must admit I missed you too."

She smiled a bit and set the bow aside. "I always miss the school when I'm away."
