Erika did not get out to the archery range as much as she would have liked. As much as she enjoyed the activity and would have liked to practice it more, it simply did not always fit into the schedule that she laid down for herself. That afternoon was an exception. There was a special desire to get her hands on a bow, and she was going to indulge in it.
It was a pleasant surprise to find that she would not be alone that afternoon. Erika gave a small smile, nodding her head to the other woman in greeting.
Truth be told, Zelda expected to have company sooner or later. She could count at least four archers in the school that she knew of, so she certainly wasn't the only one to use the range.
Luckily, the archers she knew of at the school were good company, and therefore Erika's presence was certainly welcome. "Good afternoon." She said with a smile.
Her hakama made quiet swishing noises as she crossed the station behind Zelda. She glanced out towards the range as she went, noting the placement of the targets as they were currently set up. The sky was a brilliant blue and she could hear the hum of life around them. Perfect.
She busied herself with pulling on her leather glove, her tall bow resting gently against her arm. "How are you?" Erika asked her new companion during a lull in the princess' shooting.
Zelda waited until they had properly greeted each other before she took up her own bow again. It would have been rather rude, otherwise.
"I'm doing very well." She answered with a smile, nocking an arrow and pulling the bowstring back. "Eventful trip home, but it's nice to be here again. And yourself?"

Peach was so far very happy to be back. Despite a few bad things like her recent kidnapping and Kamek's death, she had already become resettled to the academy life. First thing on her list was to get her academics set up. Then as soon as that was done, see how her old friends were doing.
She knew Zelda was a fan of the art of archery. So she swung by to see if she was there to perhaps chat up a storm. It had been ages.
One of the best surprises of this week had been Peach's triumphant return. Zelda always enjoyed seeing the other princess, and she was excited to do some catching up. It had been far too long, after all.
When she saw the pink-clad princess arrive at the archery range, she immediately dropped her equipment and waved excitedly. "Peach!"
Peach waved and then went over to Zelda, excited to see Zelda in person again. She couldn't compel her happiness on the network from seeing her dear friends were doing.
"Zelda, hello!" She looked over the target to see Zelda's shots. "I see you're still very talented with the bow."
Zelda wiped a bit of very un-princess-like sweat off her brow and leaned her bow against one of the posts, returning her next arrow to the quiver.
She laughed slightly, trying to be modest. She knew, of course, that she was rather skilled at archery, but a princess was always humble. "Ah...thank you." It was difficult not to smile about the compliment, but even more difficult not to look overjoyed at the return of her friend. "But how have you been?"

Visitors, you say? WELL IF YOU INSIST It's a good thing Meta Knight just happened to be in the area. Creeping. He didn't visit the archery range often, if at all, and he was basically just passing through to get somewhere else.

Oh gosh. Meta Knight. Zelda never saw him at the archery range! But here he was and she was all sweaty and gross and not very ladylike at all. She immediately dropped her bow and tried to smooth back her hair.

As the sun tilted westward, Pit headed out to the archery range to get some practice in. Despite having a mean shot already, there was never enough practice he could throw in. It cured boredom.
Upon arrival, Pit noticed Zelda standing there. This excited him a little bit; catching her in Shinon's class implied that she knew how to mark targets, but it was strange how they never met at the shooting range on the same hour if she enjoyed archery. Most of the time, he chose mornings to practice, so he assumed Zelda must be the type to practice in the afternoon. His pace picked up as his sandals padded the drying grass. "Princess Zelda!" he called once he could be sure he came within earshot.
Ah, and here was another archer now. It was nice to have other students and faculty that shared the hobby, and it was even more thrilling that Shinon taught an actual class on the subject. From what she'd seen of Pit, the angel certainly had talent, and when she saw him approach, she immediately brightened at the prospect of seeing what he could too.

"How did you know?" he quipped teasingly as he halted in front of the Hylian princess with a wide grin. His fingers clutched his wooden bow behind him. "You must be up to the same thing, huh? I don't blame you; the wind's nice this afternoon."
When he arrived, it turned out that he was right about Zelda being there. With his bow in his left hand, Link waved to Zelda with his right hand as he approached her. "Would you mind if I joined you?"

Zelda had expected Link to show up sooner or later. She had extended an invitation to him, after all, and she fully expected him to take her up on the offer at some point in time. It was just so difficult to find time.
"Of course not." She said, smiling and gesturing to one of the empty lanes. "In fact, I'd like that very much."

Link nodded a thanks and stepped up to the archery line. Instead of getting ready to shoot, he thought, perhaps, that it would be best if he started a friendly conversation instead of just silently shooting at the targets. "So, how have you been?" He smiled at Zelda as he took his time pulling an arrow out of his quiver and nocking it on his bow.
