Who: Wave, Sonic, Knuckles, and MYSTERIOUS GUESTS
What: Wave sees something strange and goes to investigate. All hell breaks loose.
Where: The streets of FDC
When: February 21, late afternoon

It had taken a little bit longer than usual - after all Sonic was with Knuckles and he had to wait for his friend to catch up. Missions were fun, but even someone used to save the world did have his admittedly very sparse bouts of relaxation. Still, he had a feeling something was up, considering the urgency of her message. Call it hero's intuition, or just used to having things take a turn for adventure.

Her certainly did not expect the spectacle presented before him - Wave looking like she'd just been through hell, cuffed and being slowly led to a police vehicle. Sonic's heart sank. Please don't tell me she... No. it wouldn't make sense. He trusted her a lot more than that. Faster than lighting, he stood between the door and them, his gazed going from Wave to the police officers, crossing his arms, his glare looking like he could kill them with one movement.

"What's going on?"

And it didn't take long for Knuckles to stand beside his friend, blocking the Police from entering their vehicle. He'd known something big was going down as soon as he saw the plume of smoke rising into the sky and seen the trail of cars bashed over by... something. Normally he'd have stopped to help those he could, but from what he could catch, everyone seemed fine if a little shaken, and paramedics were already on the way.

He stared at the police, his lip curling a little. "I don't care what's going on. You get those cuffs offa her right now."

The police were in no mood to argue. Two of the unoccupied officers aimed weapons for Sonic and Knuckles.

Their leader approached them and said, "You're interfering with police business. If you don't step away, you'll be under arrest too."

That wasn't good enough for him, but Sonic respected the law enough. He growled slightly but stayed calm.

"Tell me what's going on then." He surveyed the damage surrounding them. "Don't tell me you think she did all of that."

Knuckles, again, was less interested in the details than maybe he ought to be. He just stared at the guy with the gun trained on him. Like the gun was going to do this wimp any good.

"You've got thirty seconds to talk, then we're taking her and leaving." The Echidna responded, crossing his arms. "You really don't want this to turn into a fight."
