Jake arrived at the meeting place a couple of minutes later. His typical white ensemble, which looked more dressy than anything else he had, was the order of the day, and he waved to her. "Hey, Rach! How's it going?"

He was very nervous. He didn't want to blow this, but was completely afraid he would. He had a tendency to do that. But he was going to try his best, damn it. He took as many precautions as he could. He brought mints, just in case the restaurant didn't have any. He double and triple checked the movie show times. And he pocketed a few of the condoms Max gave him, in the vain hope that it would somehow keep Max from showing up out of nowhere offering him more in the middle of a romantic moment. Time would only tell if it worked.

She grinned, and waved with the hand not holding her helmet. "Hey, Jake!"

If she knew about those extra precautions, she probably would have laughed. She probably would have also turned red at that last one. But mostly laughing. Nevermind the fact that she had gone through a very similar routine before leaving- she was still convinced her hair looked awful. Even if it looked the exact same as it did every other day of the year.

"We ready to go?"

"Totally!" he said. When he finally reached her, before they got on the bike, he gave her a hug. Hey, he was allowed to be affectionate. He wasn't going to let the moment go to waste.

"Awesome bike!"

Rachel gladly returned the hug. No, Jake, there was absolutely no problem with you wanting to be affectionate.
"Heh, thanks. Could have sworn you'd seen it before, though." She pulled away, grabbing the extra helmet to hand to him.
She swung her leg over to take her seat, and waited for him to get on behind her.
"Hold on!"

vroom vroom.

"Nah, this is my first time," he told her. "Still an awesome bike!" He slipped the helmet on and climbed on the bike behind her, putting his arms around her hips to hold on. "Let's rock!"
