Olimar didn't care much for his eyebrows, knowing they would grow back and that he naturally had none. He did care that Falcon burnt them off, and then never apologized or even acknowledged it. The bounty hunter's story was never truly bought; it just wasn't worth the bickering.

Naturally he was still slightly peeved by Falcon's behavior, but he had technically forgiven him by the beginning of the week. Just not verbally.

Other than perking an ear in interest to the greeting, he paid little attention to his friend. It was rude to talk when you had a mouth full of sandwich. He was nibbling at it like a mouse because it was too big for him.

Well fine then. Ollie didn't have to say hi.

Falcon prided himself very much in his ability to push the other captain's buttons, so push buttons he would, especially if Ollie wasn't even going to say hi. That was just rude. Of course, he wasn't actually upset about it. It was just another excuse to be a jerk.

His gaze moved from his friend to his friend's lunch, which reminded Falcon that he hadn't actually eaten yet. Well, Ollie's sandwich looked good enough, and it was cut in half anyway, so the Captain decided to make the Hocotatian's lunch his own.

"Thaaaank you." He said, taking the untouched half of the sandwich and biting into it.

"H-hey! That's mine!" he finally spoke up, having finished his bite. Olimar WOULD have said hi if he wasn't, you know, eating.

There was a small frown on the captain's face, as he watched Falcon take a bite out of his sandwich. Which also had tomato and onion in it.

"I never said you could have it. If you're hungry, then just buy your own lunch!"

He let out an annoyed sigh.

"Mine now. You weren't going to finish it anyway."

Falcon, unfortunately, realized the contents of the sandwich a little too late, and immediately scrunched up his face in disgust. "Augh!" Stupid sandwich. Stupid onions. Eugh. The Captain made quick work of grabbing a napkin and spitting his half-chewed bite into it. Then he wadded it up and placed it on Ollie's plate in revenge.

Having survived the first traumatizing mouthful, he took the sandwich and opened it up, carefully removing the tomato and onion and other unappetizing ingredients, which he also dropped on his friend's plate. The rest of the sandwich seemed okay, and he took another tentative bite.

"Gross."

Olimar watched in disgust as Falcon spat out his lunch and dropped it on his plate. He pushed it away from himself, keeping his half of the sandwich in his hands. What a picky eater.

"A-augh.. That's DISGUSTING!" Looking down at his triangle, he suddenly felt his appetite die.

Behind his frown, teeth were clenched. It would have almost been amusing watching his large friend gingerly eat the onion and tomato contaminated sandwich, had he not have been bothered. "If you dislike it, why are you still eating it?"

Not that the Hocotatian wanted it back now.

Olimar had began to get too used to his human form. If asked, he would come up with any excuse in the world. Ranging from trying to fit in to height benefits. Even with pride in his origins and race, it was hard not to gain some kind of minor unspoken identity issue through trying too hard to blend in.

"H-hey! Put me down!" Some things just never seem to change. Knowing he'd fall off and hurt himself if he tried to squirm, the stubborn captain reluctantly clung onto Falcon.

Off topic. "You know... I would never tolerate someone else trying to pick me up. Well okay, so Samus has before, but I have a difficult time saying no to her." She was kind of intimidating at times, but then again so was the other bounty hunter at first.

"Aw. And here I thought I was special." He mock-pouted, carting Ollie out of the cafeteria.

There was something comforting about carrying the other captain around on his shoulders, and he hoped Ollie felt the same. It reminded him of last summer, how he'd first complained loudly about it and eventually resigned himself to the fact that Falcon was going to carry him around no matter what.

And then they ran into a tree. Oops.

But that (and a lot of other things) were behind them now. "Where to?"

Being carried around easily brought Olimar back, and that alone was enough to make him smile. Even if he would protest and whine and complain about it, there were some upsides. And downsides, like trees. Despite trees, there was usually this strange feeling of comfort and security when Falcon carried him around. Stubborn as the man was, the bounty hunter seemed to always be there for him. The last years and the laughs and conversation they shared reminisced through his mind.

He rested his head against the back of Falcon's. I just don't get it, but perhaps it's best if I don't. Nothing matters anymore, except that we stay strong.

"In the meantime, this is my only resort to reaching greater heights."

"OH. I see." He mock-pouted as they made their way out of the cafeteria and towards Falcon's office. Ollie hadn't given him a destination, so the Captain figured that was as good a place as any. "You're just using me for my height. I see how it is."

Still, the couldn't deny that he liked having his friend perched atop his shoulders. Falcon couldn't really explain it. But that didn't mean he didn't like to joke around. "I bet you're using me for my car, too."

Falcon's face made Olimar withdraw a little. "Oh... I was just saying..."

It wasn't his intention to annoy the other captain or even ask for gifts.

He smirked. "Just bringing it up with no ulterior motive, is that it?"

Of course, there was nothing Falcon enjoyed more than poking fun at the smaller captain, and it was all-too-easy, especially when he was already flustered. "What then, you think I'd forget?"

"Perhaps," he played along. Olimar was a 2'7" walking target, but he could take a joke. "Besides, I don't even know what I would want for my birthday."

In attempts of being a good father, what his daughter wanted for her birthday always came to mind first. After all her birthday was a little bit after her dad's. (After Numbers tries to actually pick a real date and fixing any mistake she could have possibly made before.)

"I couldn't ask for something too expensive."

"You don't give me enough credit." He smirked. "Of course I'd remember your birthday."

This really was unspeakably easy. Falcon didn't even have to try anymore. Ollie practically walked into these things, he was beginning to think that the smaller captain enjoyed it in a strange way. "You couldn't ask for something too expensive, but you could still ask for something. Is that it?"

"Aside from driving and drinking?" There was quite a smirk on his face. Falcon wasn't the only one who sometimes liked to push buttons. Besides, Olimar knew he had interests. Too bad it never made gift-buying any easier.

He rolled his eyes. "Yes, aside from driving and drinking. I like music and movies, did you know that?"

One had to entertain oneself on an island fortress, after all.

"You never tell me what kind." He half-teased. Not being as good as pushing buttons as Falcon, it was easier for Olimar to ruin his own fun. "I know you do, I just happen to find your responses amusing." To a degree, at least.

Moves and music... The captain has had time to dabble a little bit into what Earth had to offer. Aside from a few select titles and songs, there weren't a lot he either liked or knew enough about.

Falcon could vaguely remember Ollie singing, a long time ago, on that fateful drunken night, and in his hazy recollections, the other captain didn't seem to have that terrible of a voice. Music tastes, on the other hand...

Public radio was not music.

"Obviously you've never looked at the shelves in my living room, then, geez."
