Falcon's face made Olimar withdraw a little. "Oh... I was just saying..."

It wasn't his intention to annoy the other captain or even ask for gifts.

He smirked. "Just bringing it up with no ulterior motive, is that it?"

Of course, there was nothing Falcon enjoyed more than poking fun at the smaller captain, and it was all-too-easy, especially when he was already flustered. "What then, you think I'd forget?"

"Perhaps," he played along. Olimar was a 2'7" walking target, but he could take a joke. "Besides, I don't even know what I would want for my birthday."

In attempts of being a good father, what his daughter wanted for her birthday always came to mind first. After all her birthday was a little bit after her dad's. (After Numbers tries to actually pick a real date and fixing any mistake she could have possibly made before.)

"I couldn't ask for something too expensive."

"You don't give me enough credit." He smirked. "Of course I'd remember your birthday."

This really was unspeakably easy. Falcon didn't even have to try anymore. Ollie practically walked into these things, he was beginning to think that the smaller captain enjoyed it in a strange way. "You couldn't ask for something too expensive, but you could still ask for something. Is that it?"

Olimar smiled, Falcon's teasing was kind of comforting in a sense. Having someone he could feel relaxed around and trust meant more than he'd let the bounty hunter know.

"No. In fact, I feel guilty for how poorly I return favors. It's rather difficult when your best friend virtually has no interests to go off on for gifts."

"I have interests." He protested. "Do I need to list them for you?"

True, Falcon never really wanted much, presents-wise. But saying he had no interests was just ridiculous.
