Another who was predisposed towards night-time wanderings was Knuckles. He had a pretty full schedule and was the kind of person who needed to be doing SOMETHING. He didn't need great deals of sleep and enjoyed the night for it's stillness and silence. It allowed him to train or run in a state of almost absolute peace and quiet and that was something he valued. And he'd become quite adept at travelling around the school at night during the whole Thief fiasco.

As he headed back toward the dorms, he happened to catch sight of a figure well above eye level and looking up, he could have sworn the figure was more than a little familiar. It was too late to call out and check so instead he climbed a nearby wall and said a lot more quietly "Hey! Shiek? Dude, when did you get back?"

Hopefully it WAS Shiek - the face covering made it hard to tell, but this persons look and build were identical.

Sheik started ever-so-slightly when she heard her name, no matter how quietly it was spoken. She did appreciate that, however. It meant that whoever had seen her was respecting the fact that she didn't want to be disturbed or exposed. So from her vantage point she turned to see just who else was out at this time of night...and was pleasantly surprised.

She stood and in seconds was at the wall, peering down at the echidna curiously, wondering what he was doing up. Probably the same thing she was. One never knew what kind of trouble lurked about the school after hours...okay, maybe that was being a little dramatic, but who knew? At any rate, Knuckles would probably provide good company.

"Knuckles." She nodded, deciding to keep it vague. "Not too long ago. I hope I haven't missed much."

Knuckles grinned, standing next to his friend and giving him a gentle clap on the shoulder. "Yeah - You missed quite a bit. A bunch of people got turned into kids, and most of us had our nightmares broadcast to the whole school, and got to see everyones' worst dreams in return... and there was a royal ball a bunch of people went to recently but I was off on a training mission so missed that one myself."

There was probably even more than that, but he couldn't think of it just at the moment. He crossed his arms, voice still quiet. "What about you? You go anyplace interesting?"

By this time, Rosalina was walking about the school with her youngest child Lumina, searching for another place to stargaze, but mainly to think about personal matters that are currently occupying her mind ( ... )

Sheik wasn't the only one who turned up during ungodly hours. Vashta was surprised to awaken and find that Zelda wasn't in the room. The Pokemon couldn't help but find that strange. She hadn't said she was going anywhere, so this was a little worrying.

Thus she was currently wandering about outside the school, looking around to see if her roommate was still on the grounds.

After a few earlier encounters, Sheik had returned not to the roof, but just to the shadows, making sure there weren't any other mal-intentioned students out and about and intent on causing trouble. She was just rounding the side of the library when movement caught her eye and she pressed herself against the wall, peering around the corner to see who it was.

Oh. Vashta. Sheik was vaguely aware that her roommate was kind of a night person, but that didn't quell the curiosity she got from finding her out on the main quad.

Finding no need to make herself known just yet, she slunk against the wall and began to follow her from a short distance, being sure to keep to the darkness. For now, anyway.

As she was looking around, Vashta thought she saw movement out of the corner of her eye, and promptly froze, staring intently at the shadows.

Even if there was nothing there, Vashta was a liiiiiittle paranoid. As Sheik may or may not have seen hints of by now.

Vashta's hesitation didn't go unnoticed, and Sheik paused for a moment herself, wondering if the Pokemon had spotted her. Not wanting to be mistaken for an enemy or someone dangerous, and especially not wanting to get Dark Voided or whatever, she made the decision to step out of the shadows.

"Miss Vashta."

One of the more interesting parts of living with her roommate was that as Zelda, she had to pretend not to know her very well, all the while secretly amused that Sheik had saved her from a collapsed building during the war.

Quite amusing, really.

Well, that was certainly odd. There was a strange, chubby, rotund little boy on the roof. Looking at the stars with a pair of binoculars. A slightly odd pair of binoculars.

But there he was, sitting on the roof. Being smelly. And looking into the heavens.

Tonight had been busy. Much busier than she expected, and she was beginning to feel a little bit of frustration because of it. The feeling only got worse when she returned to her perch on the roof, only to find that it was occupied.

By a strange, chubby, smelly little boy with a pair of binoculars. What...?

That was just infuriating. Though she was sure the child meant no harm, he was smelling up her spot on the roof. Silently, Sheik made her way closer, wondering just what the heck he was doing but finding no need to make herself known just yet.

"The ancients believed that if you charted the course of the stars," said the smelly boy to a little rodent next to him, "you could determine the course of the future itself, and you see the strands of fate itself, weaving the destinies of men and countries alike."

"So I invented constellation lenses, so all I have to do is look at the night sky to see the stars and constellations above and all mapped out, so I know what I'm looking at."

"Though I don't think I believe in it, it's nice to know the names of the stars in their heavenly dance."

The mouse, it seemed, was taking notes.

"But if one can chart the course of the future, does one not also gain the ability to alter it?" Sheik mused, stepping out of the shadows and taking a seat next to the boy, trying not to mind the smell. It helped to have a ninja facemask.

The sudden intellectualism had surprised her, enough for her to decide that Apple Kid was harmless and that she could join him on the roof. She pulled her legs to her chest and rested her chin on her knees.

"Is your mouse taking notes?"

"Lumina! Lumina, where are you?" Rosalina called out while backtracking in hopes of finding the baby Luma, but isn't having any luck.

It isn't like her to be so caught up in her thoughts to not notice Lumina's sudden disappearance. Then again, it's somewhat expected; she is a child and children tend to wander off when something catches their eye, usually at the wrong place and time. The youngest Luma will get a good scolding once her mother finds her... wherever she is.

It was then when she noticed something up on the roof and something else glowing nearby... is that Lumina? She will find out soon enough.

King Boo saw another figure approaching them in the dark. Wow, was everybody out at night?

Whoever she was, he assumed it was a she, was wearing a long, flowing dress. Was it Peach?

No sooner were they down from the roof than King Boo's outburst drew her to the steadily-growing crowd. So much for a quiet night on campus. And what was this about ghosts?

Now they had three tasks on their hands: Returning Lumina to Rosalina, wherever she was, finding out who was shouting, and preventing any kind of mischief from said shadowy figures coming towards them by the moment.

Sheik looked to Knuckles but said nothing. She couldn't help but feel there was going to be some kind of conflict, and very soon, at that.

Rosalina crept towards the light with hopes that it's her little star emitting that glow, but couldn't help but think otherwise. Something doesn't feel right, but she couldn't put her finger on what or why it's giving her such discomfort. But she wouldn't allow such emotions to keep her from finding Lumina. She wouldn't forgive herself if something was to happen to her.

Fortunately, as she was mere inches from the group, did she recognize a familiar face - the fairy of the Moon. But who's the other with the crown? Rosalina doesn't know, but if the humanized Boo's with Selene, then it's a possibility that he's a friend and not a threat. Surely they know where the missing Luma is.

"Selene?"

Poo was aware of the presence of the other students bustling around at night as he sat perched upon one of his favorite meditation spots--high atop the school's flagpole. Many were familiar, one slightly more so than the others. He had met Zelda's sneaky alter ego once before in a Mu meditation session but not since then. It had been a while but he was unmistakably sure it was Shiek. Poo took note of this.

More importantly he was abusing his psychic powers he could faintly pick up on an inner turmoil of moods... all negative. Burning to be released. A fighting spirit. Poo took note of this, and stood, a silent challenger facing the wind.

Apple Kid. Apple Kid. How did he even? Oh Goddesses, her secret was going to be out, everyone was going to know about her alter-ego all because of some chubby, smelly little boy and his petulant mouse.

Ohhh she just wanted to hit something.

It was about then that she saw the silhouette atop the flag pole. After the multiple fiascoes of the night, Sheik was disinclined to believe it was anyone with good intentions. Scrambling back atop the roof, she stood as well, making sure she was in full view of the pole-sitter. A challenge.

Poo only ever had good intentions however he was very often very mysterious about expressing them. And by mysterious I mean PK teleport! suddenly disappearing from view only to just as suddenly reappear on the roof only a few yards away from the perturbed princess to investigate this just as mysterious challenger.

This person... did not radiate a villainous aura with malicious intent. But they were radiating with something fierce. Poo suddenly felt the need to engage. If not for selfish reasons to test his own strength then perhaps to see discover and perhaps quench whatever agitated this person so in the first place. Such was an honorable, princely duty.

Poo took a small bow and then struck a kung-fu fighting pose, politely waiting to see if his silent request for battle would be accepted. The Asian boy's eyes seemed to glisten with something fierce too.

Once they were both on the roof, she recognized him, and felt herself feeling a little better already. This would be a friendly spar--both knew neither meant harm and she would use this as an excuse to release pent-up energy and anger from the evening. Maybe Poo needed it too. They'd trained together at one point, and if Sheik knew anything, it was that this boy's mental capabilities were incredible.

If anything, this would be fun.

Sheikah custom didn't necessarily call for an exchange of bows before battle, so she moved right into a pose, which she held for a moment, enough for Poo to recognize that she was accepting before breaking into a run towards him, readying her first attack.
