Tails quickly came in with his small bag, and sat at one of the desks. Quickly setting the bag on the desk, he opened it and brought out a notebook, and a few pencils. Notes he had no problem taking. The more you know, the better.

And it was now time to listen to the lecture while taking notes about it.

Makar had been raised without ever really thinking about this stuff, so he'd always assumed the Earth was flat. Being in this class for the first time, most of the information was going way over his head.

He raised his hand to ask a question. "Teacher, what's a planet?"

"A planet is a round, spherical object that orbits around the sum. Some are made entirely of gas and are inhabitable, while others are made of rock, or like this planet, filled with both land and water with the ability to substain life."

Hopefully that will answer his question.

He wasn't sure what planet she was talking about when she said 'this' planet. "Which planet? The one you made in the sky?"

Rosalina chuckled as she shook her head.

"No, the planet we are on now, Earth."

Slippy diligently listened and wrote down notes but for he was sure he had heard this information before.

Regardless, he enjoyed the visual presentation.

Yoshi didn't hear anything after the pretty pictures in the air appeared.

In fact, he is still staring at them right now.

Knuckles of course took a lot of notes very dilligently. It made sense, really, when you thought about it.

"Miss Rosalina - what about things like moons and asteroids and stuff? Are they made the same way or is there something different with those?"

Gosh darnit Knuckles, I don't know! :p ihasaluma June 26 2009, 15:29:17 UTC
"There is no sure thing concerning the creation of the moon. One theory suggests that it was made the same like the planets. Another is believed to be a result of a collision course between two planets. The leftover degree that ended up in orbit, eventually fused together to form the moon. There's so many possibilities, but no one is sure of its truth."

Tails said over to Knuckles, "As for asteroids, they're referred to as 'planetoids' or 'mini planets' - I don't know how they came to be, but it's like these couldn't form together so they created the Asteroid Belt instead."
