Knowledge of the Cosmos! The Circle of Planetary Life!

Jun 25, 2009 08:29

Characters: Rosalina and students
What: Planetary Science’s 3rd class begins
Where: Classroom
When: June 25
Rating: F for fried, cause that what happened to my brain while trying to understand all this scientific stuff. :p

Rosalina stood at the front of her classroom door, greeting every student with a smile just like before. She does this until everyone had taken their seat. Once the students were attentive and ready to learn, Rosalina began to speak.

“Welcome once again to Planetary Science. Today you will learn how the planets came to be. Please take notes for there will be a quiz concerning this subject in the near future.”

Using her star-tipped wand, she waved it over the students’ heads. If one were to look upward, you would see the universe filled with stars, gases, and various other space things.

“It is said that the sun was the first to form many millennia ago through the merging of gas and dust in the universe. As the sun came to be, it’s newfound gravity forced leftover particles to surround its atmosphere, becoming planetesimals.

While saying this, you can see particles and gases doing their thing, forming the sun while whatever that’s leftover surrounds it like a disk.

“When the planetesimals collide, they become one and will increase in size and volume when merging with others. Eventually, it will gain enough force to eject itself from the sun’s own gravity to become a single planet with gravity of its own.”

Again, once you look above, you will see the planetesimals growing and drawing away from the sun and becoming a planet.

Rosalina waved her wand once more, causing the ceiling to return to its normal form. Once that’s said and done, she gave everyone a smile.

“That will be all for today. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will answer to the best of my ability. Otherwise, you are free to go.”
