I Feel So Free! Tails Flies Around The School~

Characters: Tails, and anyone he happens to bump into while flying around the school.
What: Tails flies around the school grounds, feeling the fresh air.

Where: Around the school grounds.

What's that in the sky? Is it a bird? Is it a pla ne? No, it's- a Fox?

Looking up at the sky from the rooftops, Adeleine smiled and waved at Tails.

Tails quickly landed, and waved back. "It's a beautiful day outside today, isn't it?" He grinned.

"Yes, it is," Adeleine smiled in return. It had been on her mind ever since he landed, so she just decided to roll with it: "I didn't know you could fly, Tails."

"Oh!" Tails spun his two tails slightly. "That's because I was born with two tails instead of one - I learned to spin them fast enough so I could lift myself off the ground." He grinned. "It's fun to fly around."

Ribbon was walking down the sidewalk with a box in her hands. She had finished making the scrapbook and is ready to send the gift to her Grandpa. Hopefully it'll arrive before Father's Day comes around. Ribbon plans on making that a reality; she has enough money in her bag to use Express Shipping, so it'll arrive on Ripple Star in no time.

While walking, she noticed a shadow envelope her. She looked up in the sky and saw Tails flying about.... and with his tails no less! Usually, the fairy will be exited about such things, but that isn't the case. When he's just another friend that will take her time with Knuckles away from her, you don't really want to deal with them.

Sighing, Ribbon continued on towards the Post Office.

Tails saw the little fairy walking, and decided it was time to land anyway, so he landed near her and noticed that she looked familiar - hey, wasn't she the one who...

"Hey!" Tails waved and ran over to the fairy, grinning.

Ribbon turned around and noticed Tails calling and walking towards her. She simply stood there and forced a smile on her face. No need for a stranger such as Tails to find out how she truly feels.

"Hello..."

"Hey... er, sorry if I said something wrong in my journal," Tails rubbed the back of his head. "Anyway, you taking that box to the post office?" He noticed the box in her hands.

Mir was walking around campus when thought he saw something in the sky and realized that it was Tails apparently using his tails to fly. This drew his curiosity, so he watched his new room mate for a moment.

Tails did loop-de-loops, sidewinders, and all sorts of stunts in the air. He felt so free!

... Oh, hi, there's his new room-mate. Tails figured this was a good time for them to meet face-to-face. He landed and waved. "Hey, Mir! Going for a walk too?"

The little grey puffball smiled shyly and waved back. "Hi, Tails. Y-yeah. I figured I could use some fresh air."

He regarded the other student curiously. "So, um, where did you learn to fly like that?"

"Oh, fly? These!" He twirled his two tails a little. "When I was young I found out that if I spun my tails fast enough, it lifted me off the ground. Just a little back then, though. I spent a while learning how to control it - it's like learning how to control a plane." He grinned a little. "After a while I got used to it, and it's a useful way to get around or up things if necessary.

"Course, I can also use them to run faster!"

Knuckles was taking a spin around the grounds on his board gear. It had seen a lot less use since Christmas when Wave had given him his bike style gear, and he felt like it deserved a bit of run time.

He swooped around the clock tower and careened towards the ground... but on his way down, who should he see but his propellor-butted-buddy-gone-AWOL.

Well... it was about time he greeted the flying fox properly.

He changed course, headed straight for the airborne Canine.

"Hey, You!"

Tails turned around almost in shock, and saw Knuckles. "Oh, hey, Knuckles!" He slowly landed, and walked over to the echidna. "I see you're riding your extreme gear."

Knuckles nodded. "Yeah... it's the first one you made me. It's been pretty good to me. I have a bike type one Wave made for me that I use also.... keeping my skills sharp should there ever be another grand prix."

He crossed his arms and looked Tails over. "So. How've you been? I think you're taller than last time I saw you."

"Well, I'm glad you're still making use of it!" Tails grinned.

"I've been alright, I guess. Not as lonely now that I've returned. I even made a few new friends in the last day!"

What was that? Pit squinted to cut the air with his vision so that he could see better. Something was flying funny. It definitely wasn't a bird... and bugs didn't normally get that big, nor did they fly like that.

The angel stood up on the tree bough he perched on. The more he stared, the closer it came, the more it resembled a flying animal. A fox! Foxes don't fly!

Where were its wings? No! Gasp no! It flew by means of tails! This threw Pit for quite the loop. "Incredible!"

Tails noticed Pit watching him. Well, it took him a second to realize it, anyway. He lowered himself to the tree's level, but still stayed airborne. "Hey, Pit! Watching stuff from a tree, huh?" He grinned.

Wait... he knew his name? Oh! Things were clearing up for the winged warrior now. This must be... Tails! The new student! Or the returning student, whichever worked. He sure was cute- and he looked really friendly to boot! Not to mention he could fly. Why was everyone so good at flying except him? Oh shame. He'd better do some more of those wing exercises Goose instructed.

"Hi Tails!" Pit broke into a jovial grin. "Yeah, sure am! I was kind of taking a walk and I got sidetracked and flew up a tree. But only because I saw something cool. Besides you, of course!" Laughter escaped. "Fancy meeting you here!"

"Indeed!" Tails laughed. "There's a lot of cool stuff at this school.

"So you can fly, too?"
