Genius that he was, it shouldn't have taken this long for a certain realization to finally dawn on him. But it made sense, now that he thought about it. Now that he was more familiar with all the subtleties of Lucas' expressions and body language. He poked Lucas in the shoulder, grinning a bit. "Yooou... liked me even all the way back then, didn't you?"

He briefly wondered for a moment if anything might be different if he were more perceptive to that sort of thing. But that train of thought was headed to memories of others who had liked him too... He decided to let the thought go for now.

"Where do we go from here," he echoed, pursing his lips to one side in thought. That was a good question, not only in regards to their relationship but to life itself. Was it back to the normal every-day chaos of SumaBura? Or would things be more peaceful now? How long would that peace last? Only Xatu knew for sure. "I guess... we go wherever life takes us." A copout answer, but it was the only one that was certain ( ... )

Jeff really wished he had a ring right about now. But he had a whole five years to save up and buy something really nice. It seemed like so far away, but that was fine. They'd have all that time to look forward to it and plan and learn just what weddings were supposed to be like.

He gave Lucas a small kiss on the cheek, squirming a bit. "I'm glad! Let's... not wear speedos at ours, okay?"

That earned another laugh from Lucas. "I think Rawk Hawk and Ganondorf are the only ones alive who could pull off a wedding with speedos." Anyway, they were hadly the sort of thing you wanted to wear to an event your grandpa would be invited to. Would he want to leave Tazmily for it? It was too bad they couldn't get married there. They could have the wedding in the forest sanctuary, underneath that big emblem of the two dragons. Leder would ring his bell and the whole village would turn up for something as big as that ( ... )

It was funny how only a few short years ago Jeff had pretty much accepted the fact that he would probably spend his entire life in Winters, devoting himself only to science as his father had. Now there was the exciting possibility of spending the rest of his life with people and possibly in a much more developed and civilized place than his cold white homeland. How things change. He hadn't anticipated so many options to open up in such little time. But it really was exciting!

"Um..." Jeff chewed his bottom lip for a moment, then laughed. "I-I have no idea! I mean, the world - the universe! - is huge, and maybe there's a perfect spot someplace we haven't been yet, or maybe... Tazmily was really nice. But they probably wouldn't want a lab there anytime soon, huh?

"oh, but, uh, yeah! We... We do have a lot of time to think about it. I bet I won't stop thinking about it now, haha."
