Snake turned, and in true Snake fashion, the only response was:
"... Hm. That's different."

He cocked his gun, and twisted his head to the woman in front of him.

"Think we might need backup for this one?"

Ordinarily Samus would stubbornly disagree with that. She was very much a do-it-yourself kind of woman. When the massive floating skull roared in front of them though, her insticts to get the hell out of there kicked in to high gear. Or rather, she kicked her bike into high gear, swiveled in place and darted away from the angry skull.

Predictably, Stallord gave chase, floating just as fast. Samus dodged and weaved around trees and rocks, trying to loose it but wasn't having much luck. It floated around or rammed right through said objects, leaving a clear path of destruction to follow.

Stubbornly, she agreed. "I think we might...!"

Problem with that was, who the hell would come all the way out here though on such short notice?!

"Snake! I'll try to loose it but shoot that thing down if it gets too close!" As this was said Stallord opened it's oh so vulnerable looking mouth and readied a fireball.

Not very far from that, Goroh and Eva were making out on a mountain top overlooking some of the nearby city and forest. The Aparoids had been getting smarter as time went by and they analyzed more minds, so the samurai had taken to acting as reconnaissance just in case they were planning a surprise attack.

The morning had been somewhat uneventful, apart from the flock of Pidgeottos that had tried to attack them. There numbers were certainly dwindling, althought their attacks were getting more and more brutal. He was about to tell her they should go back for food rations when the noise of Stallord and the motorcycles alerted him.

What perfect timing. A little later and he wouldn't have seen it. Goroh pointed the moving skull to Eva.

"What do you think?"
