Tubba Blubba couldn't have been happier, and that wasn't an exaggeration. The poor kid. He'd been miserable for, almost literally, his entire life. It wasn't just teenage angst either, as could be expected from many of SBG's students. Abandoned by his parents, left with nothing but a horrible name, bullied constantly by everyone he'd ever known, all but tortured by Bow. For most of his life, he hadn't had a thing to be happy about ( ... )

Man, if Tubba couldn't find anything good in himself, it was a wonder Nyx was so full of herself.
Tubba, at least, was kind.
Nyx, on the other hand... If Nyx had known just how much of an effect this was going to have on him, or if she'd known how horrible his life had trule been before 'Jynx'....
Well, she would have laughed harder.

Hell, it was a wonder she hadn't burst out laughing, just hearing his exited voice. Instead, the ghost suppressed a smirk, and stood from the bench to face the still quite distant shape that was Tubba, raising an arm to wave.

When she called back to respond, she made sure to mask her voice as best she could- aimed it a little higher, a little softer, a little smoother, and, mst importantly, did her best to hide her accent, enunciating each word.
"Tubba, over here, dear!"
Ugh, that could not possibly be her...

Oh, Star Spirits, that was her! He saw her! Getting up! To wave at him! He could barely think for all his excitement. "Jynx! Oh, Jynx, you have no idea how glad I am to finally meet you, Jynx!" he called, breaking into a full-out run. It might have made him seem a little dorky, but what was dorkiness at this point but a far-off memory? He was really meeting Jynx! That was all that mattered now. He wasn't fast, but nonetheless, he was approaching Jynx rather quickly.

Wow, he looked even dumber when running.
Nyx hadn't thought that was even possible, but, there he was, trundling towards her like some lovestruck elephant- which, in her mind, he wasn't far from, making the two of them the biggest spectacle on the street, even for a relatively small, quiet block like this one.
Oh well. spectators meant he would be even more embarrassed when she pulled it off.
She waited until he was relatively close, keeping a small smile on her face, though she made sure to keep her lips shut- no need at all for him to see those fangs of hers and get tipped off.
When he was close enough, she too, took a few speedy steps towards him, and threw her arms around his shoulders, using both the rather copius amout of hair Ganondorf had supplied her with and her speed to (hopefully) hide her face for just a second longer.
"It's wonderful to finally meet you!" She said, trying her best to keep her voice from slipping back to normal.

When those arms wrapped around him, fighting back the tears of happiness was a useless endeavor; it was somewhat funny. He spent most of his life sobbing, then when a change finally came, it brought more crying. Tubba Blubba was no poet; he didn't have any sudden lyrical epiphanies about her warm, encircling arms, or the cascading blonde locks, or the euphonious ecstasy her mere words brought to the core of his very soul. All he knew was that this felt right. No, it didn't feel right, it was right. He'd never been so sure of something in his life. This was happiness, he decided, returning the hug.

"I'm making a horrible first impression, aren't I? Blubbering into your shoulders like this..." he laughed, sniffling.
