Well. This is boring.

Being dead is really rather unpleasant. For instance, there are no books.

This is rubbish.

No books, Lily? That certainly can't be overly thrilling. Perhaps I should live forever. Or just. Take some with me. If that's possible.

And really, Sirius isn't all -that- bad, good for a laugh at least.

A laugh? Is that all I am to you, Moony? How could you?

tch, course not. But it -is- something you're good for. You're also good at shedding and slobbering, and being Man's Best Friend.

Oh, and stealing my chocolate

I do wish Sirius had thought to bring some.

Maybe that Granger girl can pull through for me, though.

Hello, Mrs. Potter. I'm Hermione Granger, a friend of Harry's.

It must be horrible not to have any books. I can't imagine. It appears that we can get things to Sirius by sending them through the veil... would he be able to get things to you from his end? Because if that's possible I'll see what I can do about the books.

Well Hullo, Ms. Granger. I'm glad to hear that Harry's made some sensible friends.

Books? That would be lovely. But I'm not quite sure if that would work. It couldn't hurt to try, though. I am rather afraid Sirius may feed them to that dog... Sam.

It couldn't hurt to try. But you know, you can always read fanfiction, since you apparently have internet access and all. It's not quite as good as books, but it's a decent second option.

Hmm? Fanfiction? I will have to investigate this.

(But ooh! I have found a place where you can download free audiobooks. This should keep me busy for a while.)

Imagine seeing you here. Dear me, has it been fifteen years since we last met? I believe it has.

If you lay a hand on Harry, Tom...

Yes? With what, precisely, are you threatening me?

I'm sure I can make your afterlife pretty unpleasant. I've a feeling there a quite a few of us who agree.

WHAT. IS. GOING. ON.

Er. Ron Weasley, Harry's best friend. Nice meeting you, Mrs. Potter. I spoke with Mr. Potter today as well. Nice guy.

Nice to meet you, Ron. I hear you're quite the best friend. It's a very required field these days, and I'm told you're doing an admirable job.

Aww, shucks ma'am, I'm just doing my best is all. I mean, helping Harry kind of goes hand in hand with sorta protecting my family, so it's all in the job description I guess. But Harry's the best friend everyone wishes they had. Except maybe without the 'Dark-Lord-treading-on-heels' part.

How are you doing? Terribly sorry about the books, though I'm sure if you were ever curious about one or two or a zillion Hermione could always relay a summary.

Oh, speaking of which, how is your mum? I rather miss her cooking, despite the fact that I don't need to eat and all. And your brothers? Still a pack of trouble makers, I take it.

Ms. Granger has already agreed to try and send some books through the veil to me. Sweet girl.

I agree. There should be a library.
