Oh I have that a lot too. I love those moments. I also love it when I've been obsessed with a song for a while and then I'm kinda not and then I'm really listening to it again and suddenly that feeling comes back. But especially the first is nice, that feeling that you talk about. I love it :D

It was so great. It came on one of the stations I was listening to on last.fm & I was like, oh man, I haven't heard this song in awhile, & I was just rocking out to it. I love that. And yes, I completely know that feeling, too, of being obsessed & then not & then obsessed again. I kinda got that way with Imogen Heap in general. I wasn't listening to much of her stuff for awhile, & then I started listening again, & the obsession hasn't worn off, haha.

Oh my god, I'll do it, I swear. I am so sorry. I forget about everything if I don't write it down and then I have this stuuuuuupid research paper due. When that stupid research paper is done, I will do your layout. First thing, I promise.

You can hit me over the head multiple times if it is not done by this time next weekend.

LOL, it's okay. I know stuff comes up & you surely have more things to be doing than me, since you're still in school & all. :)

Well, I usually don't have to write to certain music, that's the thing, but sometimes it does help. I think last night was a case of knowing what I wanted to write & just writing it, but sometimes, if I'm stuck, I'll need a certain type of music - not necessarily one particular artist - & then I'll be able to get something. When I wrote that poem I just love to death, I was listening to Portishead. I remember that. Haha.

You gotta have that pop, that mainstream hip-hop, hell, even some emo to unwind yourself from all the noise and industrial you listened to over the weekend.

Well, at least, that's my life.

"Drop it Like It's Hot" is truly the shit, though. One of the weirdest Neptunes beats - it shouldn't work worth a damn, and it sounds like it could fall apart any second, but when those drums come in, or that voice saying "Snoop" loops into the upper reaches of infinity, I am in gangsta heaven.

Haha, well, I'm mainly listening to singer-songwriters & indie music all the time, but there's the occasional NIN song or 80s/90s country or something thrown in. It's good fun. I will not listen to emo, though. No thanks.

Oh, yes, that song is just amazing. Though for hip hop, nothing in my world tops Nelly. I just have a really embarassing love for Nelly. I know all the words to "Grillz" by heart, as sad as that is. It's just such a ridiculous song that I can't NOT have it memorized. :p

Hahaha I have all the lyrics in "Grillz" memorized too, even though I hated the song when it came out. Then I realized it was so over-the-top that my hatred was really unwarranted.

I think the first time I heard it, I was just like, what? There is a song about GRILLZ?? It was so ridiculous, and some of the lyrics...Oh, God. It just makes me laugh. My best friend & I totally like to ride around in her car (a Toyota Corolla, how ghetto, right?) w/ the windows down & that song or "Ms. New Booty" blasting. We did that once coming out of the Cities & ppl were just LOOKING at us. It was amazing.
