I just can't help myself -- whenever I see a ridiculous sign like that, especially from fundamentalist churches, I want to leave detailed notes on how poor their grammar is. It may be snobby on my part, but I just can't take a political or sociological statement seriously that is rife with spelling errors. I mean, I can, but I have to really set aside the grammar errors to consider the message.

Thanks for the kind words on the knee immobilizer and the manicures!

Well, and I always have to roll my eyes at any group who presumes to know who is going to Hell -- I can't help but wonder if that pisses God off.

Ooo, that's a beautiful Pintrest layout of your indies! I have some of those polishes as well: Zoya Mimi, Matte Velvet, Amy, Sooki (gorgeous red), and Apple, Emily de Molly's Forces collection (Oceanic, Cosmic, and Dark Forces), MAC Bad Fairy (I also picked up Mean Green and Formidable from the Villains trio), Pahlish Continually Smoldering, Contrary Polish Firebrand, Inky Fingers, and Bright Night ... and so many more! Some of the other indies I have are by Coco Allure, Hare, A-England, CrowsToes, KB Shimmer, Glimmer by Erica, Darling Diva, Wingnut, Girly Bits, Different Dimension, Dollish Polish, Verity, Glam Polish, and Smitten Polish ( ... )

I had avoided Julep, too, for a loooong time, but a few months ago Julep polishes came up on sale at Zulily.com (a site kind of like Haute Look, which will feature an item from between 1-5 days at a major discount). Normally Julep is $14 a (tiny) bottle, and they sell them only in pairs, so you're stuck paying $28, which, I'm sorry, is absurd. But I was able to pick up four pairs of polish for $8.99 a pair, so practically 4 pairs for the price of one normally. Some of the ladies on the Makeup Alley nail board swear that Julep has great formulas; most who comment on Julep hate the bottle shape. I'm looking forward to trying Julep, but I, too, am avoiding the monthly Julep box, in case I don't like it ( ... )

Hahaha!I was cracking up about 'Whoremongers'! From the looks of that list...we are ALL doomed. ('cept maybe those folks at Westboro Baptist. No, they're hatemongers, so they are doomed too.)

Nice nails! I love the first one. I have a similar bright blue on my toes at the moment, but I'm very partial to the pics of Sephora Mystical Gothic and Illamasqua Phallic. Gorgeous! I only do my toes because my fingernails are thin and break easily and I'm just too hard on tips. I went broke repairing them all the time.

LOL, yes, 'whoremongers' is funny :)) Like, what does it mean to 'monger' with whores? I love that some individuals teamed up to buy the house across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church and painted it in rainbow stripes to protest the church's homophobia. There has to be a name for that attitude, that I can't remember: believing one to be the only one in the right. Bah, I blame the pain meds -- I can't think of the term ( ... )

The holy law of God, huh? Somehow, I don't recall evolution being on the list of Ten Commandments. :P ( ... )

LOL, no matter what the ten commandments instruct, some people will just not evolve ;) Especially those troglodytes who make up religious Hell appropriation lists!

You know, I've so often thought of you since May, even though I have shamefully not commented. I am glad that your surgery went well. I was going to chat with you re: rotator cuff surgery, and then my life got crazy -- I'm not really good at multi-tasking (I'm working on it) and I never did ping you before your surgery. I'm truly sorry. >:DThanks a bunch re: the knee! I'm concerned about needing extra PT for an extended period of time. I'm actually surprised they didn't set up two weeks of in-home PT like they did with my first knee replacement. That would've provided the perfect transition. I suppose I could have gone to separate agencies, using one as an interim, but I didn't know it would be such a wait until mid-week, and with Thanksgiving being next week, I think the appts just filled up. But, yeah, I am nervous because my knee is tight and really sensitive to pain. I ( ... )

No worries! My shoulder ended up not being nearly as bad an experience as I'd been worried about. Not that it was a picnic, but I'd been expecting much worse.

And ... didn't your kids used to be in the same grade? Back in the early days of their education, anyway? I definitely hope you can get A's program straightened out - SHAME on them for not consulting you! Isn't that, like, against IEP rules? Grrr.

I'm glad you got the tree you wanted, and I'll bet you find the missing leg within three weeks. Ha ha!

Love the manicures! *swoons*

Hahahaha, right? The fourth leg will be in the living room tomorrow morning, like nothing ever happened!

Glad you like the manicures! It's been a while since I've posted any manicures, so I figured what the heck!
