I already left a comment at the actual fic but I feel like I should leave another comment because it was just that good. It's dark and twisty, painful to an extent but at the end there's just that glimmer of hope that one of these days, they'll get it right.

I have a really hard time giving up icons I really love even once they aren't my thing any more.

Shocking to hear, I'm sure, but I sometimes get overly attached to things.

With the way they've made Cristina lately on the show, I would welcome a return of these two. The opening and closing lines of this I think really make this, really hit at what they are and just the timing of everything.

Word. Cristina's characterization was an absolute disaster during the beginning of this season, and it makes me miss these two even more.
