This is so poignant. And maybe I just feel that way because I saw the beginnings of both these pairings yesterday (well sort of, season 2 beginnings anyway) and I'm feeling nostalgic. But the fact that you can make me feel nostalgic and write this so believably just blows me away.

I was a big fan of both of these relationships -- probably more so of Alex/Izzie though, since it was my OTP -- so this was pretty much something I'd wanted to do for awhile. Thank goodness for the finale because the opportunity presented itself there.

Okay, maybe I love this one the most. I don't know. The way she laughs and then cries and ugh. It's so good. It's almost better than smut.

Oh God. I don't know about this whole thing. There are SO many good stories. Maybe this is my favorite. It's so poignant and deep at the same time and just...GUH. GOOD.

I know that you wrote this like, eight years ago, but the Burke/Cristina in this is just so flawless. I've been scouring the internet for S6!canon Burke/Cristina and this was just exactly what I was looking for. He still knows her so well and I can just see the way her fingers curl into his shirt. That's so them. God, what I would've given to have him come back on the show around that time and just watch all those feelings flood back on Cristina. GOD WHAT I WOULD HAVE GIVEN TO SEE CRISTINA DUMP OWEN'S SORRY ASS FOR HERSELF AND THEN WATCH HER AND BURKE FALL IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN (does it count if they never really fell out of love?) I don't believe for a second that Cristina loved Major Crybaby more than she loved Burke.

Anyway, this was beautifully done and I love your Cristina and Burke voices so much. Also, I know it's been forever but do you have any Burke/Cristina (or even just Cristina) fic recs?
