Amazing. Great insight into Lexie, which I needed so badly. As much as I hate how she is hurting herself (oh well, my team lost, for now ;) ), your fic helped explain to me why she cannot act otherwise in this very moment. And your writing is very beautiful.

I think that, whatever side you're on, there's something to be said for the fact that Lexie thinks this is her fault and it would be very OOC for her to just skip out on Alex at this point in time, even if she didn't. I am firmly Team Alex, but I would guess that this time next year, things will be in reverse in canon. I'm under no delusions that this is a forever type thing, you know? So it probably is just 'for now', lol.
