Simply put, an amazing post-ep. Did them the kind of justice they needed to be done. That ending? Oh, lawdy, it nearly killed me. Oh, ~Lexie...
Really, beautiful. I freakin' love you.
There’s no thought process that takes her from staring straight ahead at her sister to enveloping her in a hug. It just happens. Her arms go around Meredith’s shoulders and she somehow manages to remember to keep her hot coffee upright and steady. Meredith’s arms hang loosely at her sides, surprised, but they find their way to rest high on Lexie’s back.
It’s not the first time they’ve hugged, but it is the first time that she’s felt the warm feeling of solidarity. The kind of feeling you usually get from family.
There might or might not have been flaily arms going on here.

I don't know, I think I could shipper Lexie/Alex...

I really didn't want this to just be Alex/Lexie, you know? I wanted it to be the next 12 hours or so of Lexie's life, and that includes all that stuff you mentioned, that slow crawl of information.
I'm so glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

(though don't think that doesn't mean I won't try another version of it myself! haha. I feel like I'm positively DROWNING in fic ideas!)
I especially love this...
In a few short hours, that move to cover his with hers has become subconscious, far less deliberate than it was.
Great start to the inevitable fic onslaught. Great start!

I wish I had my fic-writing gene back because I really, really, REALLY want to write now.

It's funny you say that, because when I scribbled notes down in my notebook last night before I went to bed (because, yes, I finished this at 1AM but I had to cut/rewrite/edit everything as well) I wrote down 'the first 24 hours' so, yeah, on the nose much?
I want your fic writing gene to come back too! Your stuff makes my day instantly better. Here's to your fic-writing gene making a swift reappearance!
