And she’s not so sure she’s ready to be someone’s wife anymore than she’s ready to be someone’s mother.
EXACTLY!!! You summed up every thought I had about Mark's ridiculous statement in the last ep. right here...

Loved this. It's perfect. THEY are perfect!

If Lexie chooses a husband I will... well, I don't know what I will do, but it won't be pretty!

That was the wrong way for him to go about things, IMO. On the surface, it's a romantic gesture. But she's younger than he is, she wasn't ready to be a mother, and she might not be ready to get married either. But, like before, he just assumes.

I'm going to be a little ticked, for sure, but I'm a multi-shipper so I'll deal better than some.

I'm glad you liked this hun! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

But, like before, he just assumes. Exactly. In fact, he has information from before that, should he actually care to remember it and consider it, would indicate to him that Lexie doesn't want a husband. At least not yet.

And, as I've said to a few others, she didn't want that back when they were in an actual relationship that was mostly working and he was being kind of nice to her. Why he thinks she would want him as a husband now that he's proved he still is a manwhore, not to mention the ridiculous silent treatment that he cracked open in the face of her sleeping with Alex... the mind boggles at his cluelessness...

I really hope she doesn't fall for it...

lol. I don't have quite the same views as you do but it's close enough. I agree that he shouldn't necessarily jump right to the conclusion that she would want that right now. Sure, in the future, but that's not something he can guarantee. And he shouldn't pretend that he can.

Ah, this was perfect after watching this week episode!

I think Alex is the better choice for Lexie, but Mark is the easiest one, so she probably will choose him :P

Thanks for giving us the alternative, though!

I would place my bets on her picking Mark. Because, really, if I ship it it's bound to go down the tubes quickly, lol.

I'm really tired so this is a half-assed comment (I'm SO sorry, because it's not what this deserves at all)...but I'm considering this to be totally canon, k?

It's not half-assed at all -- you know I'm happy to hear anything you have to say :)

Thanks so much hun! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

See, when I watched the 6.22 and saw this epic Lexie/Marc moment, I was giddy with excitement, but then, then there was Alex. Alex who (in his weird Alex Karev way) is so good to and for Lexie. They have a really good chemistry, and I really like the way Lexie is around him.

With 1057 words you made me even more conflicted in terms of the decision I want Lexie to make in the season finale. But I do know with absolute clarity that I love this fic of yours. :)

I was a little conflicted too, before I wrote this, and even though I'm Team Alex I'm still open to other possibilities. I think it's probably a good thing to be conflicted -- at least we care and don't vehemently hate anyone.

I'm glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I had a bit of a thing for them in S4, for sure, so I'm happy that we got a second chance here.

I'm glad you liked this! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
