I really enjoyed reading this. Penny's realization regarding her relationship with Leonard, coupled by the realistic and entirely probable way the two broke up and somehow managed to deal with it in the end. The slight shades of Sheldon/Penny. I like this a lot :D

Thank you! My main concern was making this realistic so I'm very glad to hear you say that.

I'm glad you liked this!

First, I loved this. Second, I uber-loved this. Third, and perhaps my favourite part about it, I liked how you gave Leonard the opportunity to show growth, something on which the show seems to have given up. I wish the writers understood Leonard as well as you do, heck, I wish they understood Penny as well as you do ( ... )

I must have a seriously different interpretation of Leonard then these writers do because every time I think that I understand him, they go and change the game up on me. So I've given up. There's canon Leonard and then there's my version of canon Leonard. That's fine by me (and I like mine a heck of a lot better ( ... )

I may have half-ignored my family during Thanksgiving because I was reading this on my phone, and then I came back today and saw I DIDN'T LEAVE A COMMENT. I like how everything here is so understated, and jumpy (as a compliment, I love that), and Penny and Leonard fall apart on their own. I like the growing up that Penny does (something she needs to do on the show, and fandom needs to do for her in fics), and the quiet way Leonard and Penny sort of work themselves together again. Love all of this, but:

Some of the fight seems to go out of him then. It’s the first time that it’s really occurred to her that Sheldon’s been awake this entire time, probably since very early yesterday morning. He looks tired under the bright lighting and without the aid of any form of caffeine that she tends to mainline in situations like these.Something about that just GETS TO ME, you know? We don't see Sheldon rattled enough, I don't think, when it's something other than someone being mean to him (which, while vaguely enjoyable, is getting kind of old). ( ... )

I like jumpy. I like disconnected. I think it's more interesting when you get pieces of the puzzle like that. This could've easily started with the fight and gone from there chronologically, but admittedly it loses something in translation if the opening is just pure exposition. They always say you want to show not tell the audience right?

We don't see Sheldon rattled a lot. Lately, we see it more, but always for the same reason. It's foreign to us, and it's foreign to the characters, and I think that makes it more interesting to go there (and I know you know this, because I've seen you do it, and it's amazing).

I'm glad you liked this! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
