Ha! I just read the anonymous review above mine and it jogged my memory about the Hello thing! Haha, that is hilarious! How clever and subtle of you!

That part of that episode, the way the 'hello' kinda bursts out with a high pitched squeal makes me laugh every time!!!

Now I think this fic is even more brilliant!

Oh, this was great! It wasn't overly sad, but it wasn't completely unrealistically optimistic either.

I think my favorite part was:
“Because maybe if we’re not thinking about it like it’s the last time, then we’d actually be able to have a conversation that doesn’t end in glares or insults. You know, like the conversations we have when I’m not ten minutes away from surgery. The conversations that actually remind me why I’m with you.”
because we very rarely get to see Alex and Izzie have real conversations on screen (although I guess they have as many as any other couple), so the thought of them laying in bed and talking makes me squee quietly to myself!

I hope these last few episdoes inspire you to write more Alex and Izzie!

You have to kind of be both in these situations -- angsty but optimistic.
