I really liked this. It incorporates the seriousness of Izzie's illness and treatment with the teasing/joking manner that has always been a part of Alex/Izzie.

I like mixing the banter with the angst. I think having more levels to it makes it more interesting.

No Hurry:) After all, I'm still working on chapter 5. I'm going to try and get chapter 5 done tonight at least. Its going slow. One due to homework and two due to a new fasination with MCR and Twitter.

Perfect! Once again, I felt both character so strongly in your perfect interpretation and insight into each as individuals and how they relate to each other. I loved the banter, the way they dance around each other, how the fear is in the room with them, and yet so is the strength and the really unique way that they take it on and do battle with it---all incredible elements of this piece!

She watches him fixate on the clock now, because while normal people look down, Alex probably views that as some level of vulnerability, and so either keeps his eyes level or higher than those of the person he’s trying to avoid. And this is how much unfortunate free time she’s had lately; she notices everyone’s little ticks, their habits. I -loved- this segment. It is so very Izzie to notice (I loved how she pointed out a few episodes back that Meredith and Cristina tend to talk circles around each other more often then they actually appear to be listening to one another), and what ( ... )

There has to be a balance, you know, between the banter and the fear and the angst and the strength. There's a balance on the show, and so to be true to the show it has to be here too.

I have noticed lately just how observant Izzie is. Maybe she's always been that way and I'm just noticing, but it's seemed especially apparent lately. Hence that little segment -- probably my favorite in here, since I think it's kind of telling.

I will always remember that scene -- it was one of the ones this season where I knew this ship was getting back on track.
