Ha, this is perfectly realistic. For all the wax Shonda may be rasping about them being together for good, they certainly still have a lot of steps to take. And moving in together isn't that easy, especially when things haven't been exactly picture perfect to start with. So, yeah, more realism in Mer/Der, I say!

It's easy for me to be a realist with them, since I'm not a shipper. I can find the flaws easily, it's just the other stuff I struggle with. But I'm glad you thought that this was realistic and worked for them -- I was very worried.

I can see this happening with them. Mer isn't used to having someone around her 24/7, at least not someone she's sleeping with :) I can see this becoming an issue. They're going to have ALOT of issues to work through, and I loved how you wrote this, it was so real. I loved how your threw all the little sarcastic comments from Alex and Cris in there it really makes the fic!

Well, you know, everyone's expecting them to have serious issues, they haven't really been a proper couple before, and so I definitely wanted to explore that before Season 5. I have other ideas on the backburner as well.

Alex and Cristina and them being heavy on sarcasm comes from the fact that I started out writing the interns, as a whole, and I try to incorporate that more now as well.

I loved that this was very realistic! This is something I could definitely see happening. Although, being a Mer/Der person, I was glad it had a hopeful ending. :)

I figured if I didn't give it a hopeful ending people might get a little annoyed. And really, I would get annoyed, because if these two are going to do it then just do it. I'm not a fan of back and forth relationships.
