I think it has potential, and if I'm feeling particularly silly it could happen. That is if I ever catch up with that show, lol.

A perfect look into how this pairing would shake out - they are pretty together, but I think too many writers overlook the lack of a "spark," any real source for that kind of connection. You've dealt admirably with that as your basis for proceeding, and the result is such a sad, beautiful little glimpse into that. Lovely work.

You know in a lot of cases there is no spark. I've seen a lot of relationships where it's just like and why are they together? It's circumstances I guess.

I remembered that you loved them, I just...you know I could never get into them. But I got the idea from a song and ran with it. Got try everything sometime.

I love the dynamic between these two because I think you're exactly right; if they were ever together it would be about guilt and loneliness. And this line: He likes that this feels so much more real when the world has a little spin to it and their glasses are still half full. , along with the metaphor about her patched roof not lasting very long... beautiful.

This won’t hold - won’t work - for long.

That about sums up the roof and this pairing. This was marvellous. They make such an awkward couple that it's hard to not want to explore what that would be like.
