I always did too. I'm not really a Sun/Jin fan, so this was the other way to go. I always wondered why they didn't go further with them.

Thanks for prompting me! I always loved them but didn't fic in Season One so I figured it was too late.

The reason this is from Michael's POV is simply because I don't think I've ever done Sun's POV. I'm not good with her at all. Michael...he comes somewhat easier. And I do believe Michael and Jin's friendship is really what killed this ship.

I watch them when they're interesting. More often than not, they just aren't, but that one stood out.

I don't do a lot with Michael, but to be honest I was always very interested in him -- as I am with Sun too (Jin, not so much) -- and I've always wanted to write something like this, just never had a reason to until I was prompted.

Oh, Michael and Sun...in S1 I did have a soft spot for them and was intrigued by the possibilities of that relationship, whether it remained friendship or fell into something more. You captured Michael's confusion and dismay so well; it really tunes in perfectly to that anger he has at her after she slaps him, when he realizes he doesn't really understand her. I also like how you have him holding her up as perfect, because I feel that's how a lot of fans viewed Sun as well, and we've slowly been unraveling the tangled web that she created in her life with Jin.

You write such good fic so fast, you amaze me. :)

Way back in Season 1, if I can actually remember that far back, Sun was this kind of...good character. We didn't go super far in-depth with her until Season Two, IMO, despite hints in House Of The Rising Sun. Even by In Translation she was a bit different then when the show first started. But for awhile she was good, she wasn't nearly as bad as some of the other characters, and I guess that's where this comes from somewhat.

As for writing this fast -- I'll get in moods where all I can do is write and moods where I won't write for a month, so enjoy it while you can.
