This was awesome my dear. I love the little snapshot moments throughout the years, they all worked so well. And the theme throughout, of Sawyer needing to leave first so they can't hurt him - so very Sawyer. I love this!

I wasn't sure if I was getting my meaning across the way I intended, or if it would even fit with his character like it fit in my head. This makes me feel A LOT better about it.

What amazes me about your reactions to my fics is I kill your ship time and time again and you still seem to not want to beat the everloving shit out of me. Especially here. I guess maybe because I didn't make her run to Jack right afterwards. Then you would've barbecued me, lol.
I love Juliet but no matter who she ends up with she is kind of screwed IMO. Hence that line.

You have Sawyer's voice down so well, and his characterization. It's such a heartbreaking path he goes down in this, eight years of downward spiraling and cutting more and more ties until he's essentially disappeared. And, unfortunately, it's a path I can see him going down, depending on what eventually happens on island. Well done!

Sawyer is rather self-destructive when you think about it, even though he intends to be the opposite. That's what he is here, with all the cutting ties.
