This was awesome my dear. I love the little snapshot moments throughout the years, they all worked so well. And the theme throughout, of Sawyer needing to leave first so they can't hurt him - so very Sawyer. I love this!

This is excellent and not at all reaching. I especially liked the part about Juliet and the last glimpse into Sawyer's new identity. The phone call from Jack was heart breaking but I could just see it being the trigger for Sawyer to cut all ties. You always have great titles and this is no exception.

Aw, thanks! I wanted to incorporate the Jack/Sawyer dynamic into this, and theirs is an interesting bond, hence him being that trigger.

As for the title, it comes from the song I based this (partly) off of actually.

What amazes me about your reactions to my fics is I kill your ship time and time again and you still seem to not want to beat the everloving shit out of me. Especially here. I guess maybe because I didn't make her run to Jack right afterwards. Then you would've barbecued me, lol.

I love Juliet but no matter who she ends up with she is kind of screwed IMO. Hence that line.

Oh, wow. I certainly don't think this is reaching, at all.

You have Sawyer's voice down so well, and his characterization. It's such a heartbreaking path he goes down in this, eight years of downward spiraling and cutting more and more ties until he's essentially disappeared. And, unfortunately, it's a path I can see him going down, depending on what eventually happens on island. Well done!
