50 Book Challenge 2013 Book List

So this challenge is something I'd been seeing a lot Tumblr, and since it looked fun, and I've never attempted to record my reading habits in any way, I thought I'd give it a shot myself. I've made up a list of some things I'm hoping to get read at some point this year, while crossing off what I've already finished. Some of these I've already read

Best horror writing I've ever read was contained in a book of short stories that goes by the title "Leviathan 4: Cities".
I read it in 8th grade, when I was basically working through the whole library, and while most other books faded from memory, that one really stuck with me. I picked it up a couple years ago, after spending a night on Google trying to remember what the heck it was, and found it was even better than I remembered it.
Strange, otherworldly, sometimes darkly humorous, heart-wrenchingly beautiful in places, this book is madness and I highly recommend it.

Diana Wynn Jones. Diana Wynn Jones. Diana Wynn Jones!

Probably the best introductions would be Howl's Moving Castle, Archer's Goon, and Homeward Bounders. But she never wrote a bad book.

Looking at your list, I'll also suggest Alan Garner, The Owl Service; and you might want to pick up a random Dion Fortune book and see if she's to your taste.
