OP_SONGFICS CHALLENGES!
The op_songfics have started their challenges!
From here on, every week, and every month, there will be a challenge!
THIS MONTH'S CHALLENGE: [October] "Summer of 69" by Bryan Adams
Write a songfic on the song "Summer of 69", by Bryan Adams! Any lenght, any pairings/characters and any rating!
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: [4-10 Oct] "Journey"
Write a songfic on the topic "Journey". It can be about a journey, a songfic on a song named 'Journey', or even by the band Journey!

There will be two different challenges in op_songfics; one that last one week Monday-Sunday. Each Monday one of the mods will pick a subject, and it can be anything ranging between a genre (AU, sci fi, crime), a specific title or something similar with the song ("containing a name like ‘Roxanne’", or "from the 90s") or a simple subject like (‘journey’, ‘history’ or ‘love story’).
Except the fact that the piece will have to be connected with the subject, and of course a song fic, there are no regulations when it comes to ratings or length. You can pick any pairing or character, any rating and any word count.
And each Sunday the mods will form a jury and judge the weeks posts. The winner will get featured in a post in the comm titled this week’s winner. A link to this post will be featured on top of the profile page, as well linked to in the comm. This way, the winners post will always be easily available for other readers, and your fics will be read by even more people.
The other challenge will span over a whole month. The mods will pick a song (For example: “Here Comes the Sun”, by the Beatles) and your task is to write about it. The same rules goes here: any rating and any length, but you have a specific song and a whole month to write your songfic in. The mods will publish the song on the first of each month and judge on the last. The winner will get a custom made banner and will be published in the "Winners post" and on the profile, until the next month's winner is selected.
If there aren’t any participants, the mods can either choose to leave the subject for another week/month, or create new subject.
If you have an idea for a subject, or a song you want featured in the monthly challenge, don't hesitate to post it in a comment at the master post on top of the comm!
Of course you are still more than welcome to write a songfic without participating in any of the challenges!
