Today is Sean's 26 birthday. I can't believe he is/was only two years older than me. He was so intelligent and thoughtful, so wise beyond his years. Of course Sean's death hit me immediately on a visceral level-- it was so tragic and unfair-- but it is only recently that I truly realize the magnitude of his loss. Sean was a mentor to me.
