Shoo-Bop-Shoo-Bop My Baby

So thanks to the miracle of Jesse and Virgin's cheap prices, I finally got the Rilo Kiley album.  And the MoveOn compilation, but I haven't listened to that one yet.  The best songs on this one don't beat the best ones on The Execution of All Things, but I still didn't mind listening to the album 17 thousand times this weekend.  My favorite songs ( Read more... )

The Wizard is apparently not on DVD but I Netflixed Foxfire (Firefox? I forget), which stars a young(ish) Jenny Lewis and Angelina Jolie. She (Jenny) was also in Troop Beverly Hills, also unseen by me.

The Wizard was so great -- Christain Slater and Beau Bridges and Fred Savage, right? Always liked the Jenny girl in that and Troop Beverly Hills (which is on about once a month on TBS or USA so no excuse there, Jesse), and it's too bad she didn't go on to do much.

Foxfire was a favorite of my roommate's; based on a Joyce Carol Oates book and is a decent movie.

Don't cry for Jenny Lewis, she went on to front an awesome band and become an indie sex symbol. Take that, Neko Case!

There were no Clinton sightings, but there was a lot of screaming.

Screaming at what? Screaming seems so un-Chappaqua.

Just screaming in glee at the incredibly posh digs and jumping around on a trampoline. I screamed "I love you, Bill" but not very loudly.

so here's the real question: do i go ahead and buy the moveon cd from barsuk's website and thus get 15% off another barsuk cd (like the older rilo kiley, for example, but not the new one because they don't have it) but have to wait for it to ship and pay shipping and stuff; or do i hold out and possibly wait just as long by trying to find it somewhere around here?

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS, I TELL YOU

I think you have to do math. I got the MoveOn cd from 9.99 from Virgin. The future soundtrack is $12 plus shipping from the web. If 15% is greater than the difference in price, go for it. But the MoveOn cd isn't knock-you-on-your-ass good, you can wait for it.
