Road tripping

On August 16th, my mom and I are going on a road trip from the Bay Area to Ann Arbor, MI.  My mom really wants to see the Grand Canyon, and I'd like to take advantage of this opportunity to see as many national parks as possible.  Here is the itinerary that I've come up with so far:

Day 1: 597 miles
-most intense day of driving
-pass by Mojave
