44 Blueberry Hill, Late Friday Night

Phoebe had been very good and stayed inside and rested all day like she figured the guys would want her to. They hadn't been really happy with her being out so late last night and then coming home wet like she had. So, today she had stayed inside. Oddly enough, she didn't have to call out to Cole to come snuggle. He could feel it. So a few moments later, he was standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame, watching her read.

It was very, very late indeed by the time Sam got home, dirty and bruised but otherwise unhurt.

He'd stopped in the downstairs bathroom to shower, which was why he was in boxers and a fresh t-shirt when he slipped upstairs to the bedroom.

Unfortunately, the fresh bruises on his leg were pretty visible this way.

Phoebe lifted her head from where she had fallen asleep on Cole's chest when she head someone come in.
