I couldn't have summed it up better myself. :)

I think it's a very fine line between defensive and just trying to get them to GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER already.

I feel Vanessa's exhaustion, quite literally. And while she's really sort of tired from before the story even started, she could still knock Claudia down a peg or two. She just chooses not to, and that is what I think is interesting about her. :)

Oh yeah, definitely. I'm pretty sure Vanessa could skin Claudia alive with a few choice words. Artie sure knows how to pick the women around him. But unlike Claudia she's better at holding herself back. And I think she's more concerned with hurting Claudia through the fact that Artie cares deeply about Claudia and so she needs to hold back.

But ultimately Vanessa does seem to be extremely level headed. Ignoring those comments about her rather active 'social' life back in the day.
